The Lakers are massive underdogs this weekend. Nick Wright is the only TV analyst picking them and Vegas believes they will be swept. I just want to be clear nobody on BGOL is picking them to win either. None of the Kobe stans has said they will win or voiced confidence in it. Several were in here consoling Warriors fans while they were getting clowned for missing the playoffs....

I offered @durham a chance to bet me the Nuggets would sweep and he declined, although he believes Lakers have no shot.

The only person on BGOL who follows the Lakers that believes the Lakers will even win a game is me. Just putting it out there before that inevitable switch up. I also predict the guys I posted will post more after Lakers losses than wins.

They mentioning the Lakers to up his trade value cuz he doesn't fit at all. He needs to go to New Orleans and play with Zion. Atlanta should ask for BI, Trey Murphy, and 2 first rounders.

My favorite Warriors podcast approached this question of who to root for now...

The first guy said the Celtics, which is a contender for me if my Bucks go down.

The second had an interesting perspective, which is that he is declining to root and instead hating.

Hating based on whose implosion helps the Warriors most.

i.e. The Clippers losing in the first round makes them resigning Paul George less likely.

I have to say, it is a compelling argument for hate > love.

I was not going to hate on LeBron this year...

Because I have nothing against him other than being overrated...

But then it was mentioned on that podcast that a Lakers implosion makes it more likely he leaves.

And #30 and #23 need a new sidekick...

You'll really see how much I don't hate LeBron if that happens!

BGOL hasnt had new members in a decade. You use multiple logins and so do moderators because the board is so poorly promoted and can't draw organic engagement like every internet platform post-2016.

I don't think there's any capacity you would root for a Black American person like LeBron that is praised the way he is. He doesn't hate himself and he's not whitewashed enough. He needs to be light skinned or have a white wife to cross over to the fans that hate him.
