In the late 2000's and early 2010's, multiple star players used to get clowned and trolled in these threads when they lost. One of our moderators in particular used to make fun of multiple in his sigs. Wade, Paul Pierce, Bosh, LeBron, etc. Now I guess the only superstars that deserve to get clowned for losing in this thread is LeBron James and James Harden. All this week we've seen several superstars choke in the clutch and come up short in losses, but no commentary, no trolling, no tweets nothing.
Last Saturday when the Magic beat the Lakers @therealjondoe made sure to show us a tweet of Paolo crossing LeBron for laughs. Nothing tonight for Giannis. Making fun of him doesn't make white people laugh or make older former players seem better.
Tonight after a poor shooting night, Steph Curry doesn't score a single point in the 4th quarter after missing a point blank layup to tie a game late earlier this week and only registered 2 assists tonight. No trolling, no commentary, no tweets.
If people just held ALL superstars accountable across the board for their play, the trolling stuff wouldn't be so bad and would be somewhat understandable. But the fact folks keep quiet and don't say nothing when they people they like choke or don't play well (Wemby for example) but make it a point to clown the guys they want everyone to belittle and hate is that fakeness that younger fans are gravitating away from. Tell the WHOLE story or don't tell it all.
