Man ... when I was reading the old news articles and obituary I was like WTF.
One of those cases of someone finishing grade school and going to a different high school, but being off your radar for decades. Don't think they kept in touch with anyone from back in the early-90s.
Hell ... the last time I interacted with the kid was at a track and field event in 7th grade and even then he was antagonizing me to fight.
Mavs & Wolves lost. I'll take it. Lakers messed up losing to the Magic with all of us knowing the Nuggets were going to beat them.
The West is mess, with those 2 teams & the Suns with KD out. NBA is super mid right now. Only means a great season & playoffs coming.

It's a long way until the playoffs, because there's a lot of star players dealing with injuries and you aren't gonna see them ready or hopefully fully healthy damn near at the end of the season heading into the playoffs.
It's weird hearing stories about people that we went to school with years later.
Strange you mentioned it because years ago I googled a couple of friends names who I hadn't seen or thought about in decades. I had moved away more than 20 years before I googled.
Not sure what made me thing about it but I did.
Long story short it was a guy I knew, we were friends at first but after a while he wasn't someone I was cool with. Mind you I knew him from 6th-9th grade.
Didn't hangout with him from 8th-9th grade but I know him. I think he dropped out in the 9th grade, I moved away so I couldn't tell you if he finished.
Long story short, he was killed at age 20. I was shocked, but then again not really because I kinda expected it.
I was joist shocked and saddened that he didn't even make it to 21.
It was also in the news with a deep backstory which reminded me and I said out loud, "He really was a bitchass nigga".
With what happened he didn't deserve to live.
Yep. I still don't believe in the Celtics or any team with KAT. Giannis needs to get Dame traded. Philly gotta get healthy.
Same with injuries in the West. I don't believe the Warriors can keep this up. Trade deadline will be very interesting.
