}~~~> Official 2024/2025 NBA Thread<~~~{ the playoffs are here!!!

I wasn’t old enough to remember Prime Shaq but after watching retro highlights. I change the way I viewed buddy. I thought he was just a player who backed folks down and dunked on them cuz he was stronger than everybody. Buddy had some actual skill. However, his love for “Bully Ball” is annoying.

And yeah the “string beans” of today would get worked. Honestly I look at guys like Wemby, Chet and even Bol Bol as tall SF’s. Them boys too “light in the ass” for that post work.

Yeah man, prime Shaq was nasty in the paint. These new "bigs" weigh less than most early 00's guards.

Chet is 7-1 215lbs, Wemby 7-3 235lbs?!!!

Prime Shaq was 7-3 345, and FAST!! He would bully the hell out of these "bigs"......

But today's game is different. Lebron at 6-8 275 can dominate in the paint on boths sides of the ball against most teams....

He wasn't able to do that his first 6 or so years

Shaq wouldnt be anywhere as effective in this era. He's a terrible pick and roll defender and scored mainly in the half court. Teams would just play small ball on him and put a stretch big at center and dare him to guard them on the perimeter or try to run with them. As Draymond stated, he would be forced to move his feet laterally a lot more and would be asked to rotate a lot more. His lazy ass would've struggled keeping up with today's uptempo offenses. There's a reason why big guys that can't shoot have all but disappeared in this era. Even Dwight Howard was shooting 3's at the end of his career. Also Shaq, like Joker dominated weak competition at center. When he played other great centers in the 90s he didn't stand out nor was he as successful. He's judged solely on his 3 year peak as a Laker, not the 12 point seasons he was posting by age 35.

Michael Jordan mouthpieces arent paid just to slander and lampoon Bron, they're paid to slander and lampoon all of today's players...

How you were not old enough to remember Prime Shaq but stay dickeating his teammate? God you BGOL niggas are horrible actors. Can't stay in character for shit!! :smh:
My nigga I had a Shaq rim

How MHC never seen a “prime” shaq but he older than me.

And a prime shaq was 2000 season.

Embiid at his best > Snaq at his bes

@Complex, @LordSinister and a few other Bean stans cried bloody murder when Bron shipped this bum out with the other clowns. Lebron saved the Lakers from the gutter that Kobe and Rob parked them in.

Funny how you posted this after a Lavine post like he's contributed anything on a winning team

Yeah, because other teams didn't want Ingram, Kuz, Randle, Caruso and Hart

We should have gotten more Lebron players like Kendrick Nunn and Cam Reddish :hmm:

Lakers hang 42 in the 1st quarter against the leagues best defense. But OKC got the closest thing to Mikey, so this game is far from over.
