I understand and agree with all that you're saying. I'm just saying that every issue isn't a Black and white issue particularly not with the way that the media's treating Jokic or Ja regarding their coaches being fired.

I’ve been thinking about it and 1) LA is the better matchup for us 2) more importantly, this old ass team needs a break— not playing an extra game is more important than the next opponent.

The problem people ve having is yall get caught up in his triple double and stats and think that’s what it takes to win. In 2025 it’s more than stats. And for the record I’m not talking about 10 years ago what he did with the Thunder or 14…I’m talking about this journeyman stage of his career.

And it’s wild to me…so you will shit on Murray, Porter and Gordon and will argue why they aren’t good enough but if me or Major tell you why Russ a aged veteran who the league wouldn’t give more than a minimum contract is a cancer to teams it’s you can’t talk basketball and we deserve each other. You dying on a Westbrook hill? Why? Because he get triple doubles?

Never said they weren’t “good enough”. Simply stated that they’re not all-stars, all-defense nor all-NBA. And I’m speaking from the viewpoint of a frustrated fan as well. I WANT them to prove that it they’re more than sidekicks and damn near every time they got that chance, they blew it.

As a Nuggets fan, I’ve watched Westbrook cook my team for basically 10 years. Watched him hit a fucking 30 foot game winning 3 that kicked my team out the playoffs and secured his first triple double season. I would be a fool to act like he wasn’t an elite basketball player after seeing it with my own eyes. Jordan was trash after a certain point in his career so why are people bashing Russ for being out of his prime as well? NOBODY has been good for their entire career except LeBron James. That is it. So we’re bashing Russ for not being LeBron?

Also, He’s made the playoffs every year of his journeyman career as well EXCEPT for LAKERS. Go check. He even had the lowly Wizards in the playoffs AS A STARTER. Averaged a triple double AND they made playoffs. Yeah they had a losing record but making the playoffs, is making the playoffs. It ain’t about stats, it’s about winning and making the playoffs is winning basketball. Folks acting like when Russ gets on your team, your team sinks to the bottom of the league.
 


I agree AR, Jokic isnt very good. He's a statpadder, but not a winning player. Soon as Malone got fired, it disqualified him from MVP consideration. MVPs and winning players don't get their coaches fired. Especially the ones that made them.

I’m not talking about Westbrook’s career. What I’m saying is if you are serious about winning and contending you need a good balance of talent, youth and hunger.

Russ will be a hall of famer. You arguing against something completely different then I am. I never said he sucked. It’s some guys you just can’t win with. He’s not the only one. Bradley Beal, CJ MccCollum, Zack Lavine, Demar Derozen…..hell some would say James Harden.
