One of my favorite players growing up was Allen Iverson. I’ll never forget the shit that he played through and then meeting him in person when he was a Denver Nugget and seeing that he was actually shorter than his listed height, I gained even more respect. These dudes are supposed to be improved physically in every way but their bodies are so fucking frail that “shortening the season” will always be a conversation.

There we go! I was talking with some young D1 ballers at UCF and they were mentioning how working out and hard practices made it tough for them to play games so they always took it easy.
When I played, that’s what we did. We lifted hard and practiced hard. Our bodies were sore but our bodies adapted though.
Some say it’s because they start so young now others their bodies are damn near worn out by high school.
