Russ sat out start of camp due to a "calf injury," Nothing was wrong wit that nigga. It was Tomlins way of starting Fields with the Ones. Which was brilliant. Fields looked great from the reports. Rus came back 3rd and 4th days. He looks good. Pickens is off the chains but got chewed out by the new recievers coach and he didn't like that. Dude is always practicing & always trying to improve
So you want to root for him to succeed
But.....unfortunately he just can't do it
He has mechanical flaws in his game that he just can't overcome
He's wildly inaccurate
When we first drafted him, dude couldn't even throw a tight spiral
I kid you not, when he threw the ball, the shit would wobble out of his hands like a damn punt
And his footwork was bad when he dropped back from center
Plus he had a elongated slow wind up release
DB's would see the pass coming a mile away & easily pick it off
And dude would just sail passes constantly over WR's heads
Shit be crazy fam
Just a simple short screen pass & dude would be throwing it 10 feet over the WR's head, damn near to the bleachers

If he throws 20 passes in a game
Like 5 of them are gonna be off target like a mofo
Like WAY OFF TARGET....constantly sailing passes over peoples head, LOL

One of the Cowboys radio shows said Trey would lead the league in alley oops cause his passes are so high.
He's a good kid man, like you said, but he hasn't shown he can do it.
And because of his accuracy issues, what happens then is.....
He starts to be more conservative
He turns down deep throws where the WR might be open
And instead goes for the safe checkdown
I don't know how aggressive he is practicing in Dallas
