It makes no sense though because I kept watching to see what happens when the team punts on 4th down and they still do that the old way..lol
Correct the punt is worse cause the ball carrier is looking up when the defender is already in his face. At least kickoff they have a 10-20 yard separation before the defender gets to the ball carrier.
