An NFL Agent spoke to JC Sports he said what the Lions did to Za’Darius Smith was a ‘classy gesture’
Backstory, Za’Darius Smith hasn’t been able to go to his home in Florida, and survey the damage of a hurricane that hit his area, because of the NFL season.
The Detroit Lions recognized that, and upon trading for Za’Darius Smith they knew it was Cleveland’s BYE week so they held him out for personal reasons.
NFL Agent said, “They didn’t need to do that, but they did it because they respect players. That goes a long way.” Adding, “Not many teams would do that, truthfully”
