Now here comes the scary part.....Washington is predicted to have about $90 million dollars in cap space for the 2025 season.

Spoke to a coach today who says they’ll no longer take any ‘Rooney Rule’ interviews. They added this year’s sessions would be their last.

Thoughts on this?

The Rooney Rule has increased exposure and created opportunity since its implementation with the help of Johnnie Cochran (RIP) and Cyrus Mehri.

Alternately, the sentiment above speaks to the hurt the mandate can potentially create if a prospect feels disingenuous interaction.

There’ve been interviews in this cycle that caused club brass to reconsider previous judgments. So, therein lies the inherent benefit to an expanded pool.
