Official 2025 NFL Off Season Discussion!!!

that last part is my only concern
i have always liked sacks
without a pass rush, the DBs won't be as effective
Dorance Armstrong is a decent rusher when someone dominant is in there with him (Parsons when he was in dallas)
Luvu from his LB spot
aside from that who knows
they just need that one, dominant Edge rusher to set it all off
Yeah it's going to be suspect.....I am sure it's a game plan in place though....got to do some digging

AP just doing BPA right now

Adam Peters Strategy ==
Taking the best player available, getting very good value

John Lynch's Strategy ==
Taking a specific player to fit their need/scheme
Specifically defensive guys to stop the run
Even though better players at other positions were still on the board

:puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:

Hopefully we can get some coverage sacks. We'll blitz a lot if we can cover as well

Amos Sainristil Lattimore could be a nasty CB trio. With Jonathan Jones and Noah I as great depth. Our CB room has been transformed
that is going to get us killed in the long term.
Hopefully we add somebody

I can't complain about what Lynch & Shannahan are doing :cool:
Because they gutted like half the D-line, so they could load up in this draft
They basically cut/traded anyone who couldn't stop the run
Especially older expensive vets like, Javon Hargrave & Leonard Floyd
I wouldn't be surprised if the 9ers took another D-linemen with 1 of their 2 third rounders

Sanders not the only flashy player to get drafted though. There is definitely a message being sent though. I think some it has to do with Deion and some of the things he has said and done. The retiring of his Shedeur jersey, threatening to hold out if certain teams drafted his son. All things that rubbed NFL owners and coaches the wrong way. To be fair Archie pulled the same thing when Eli got drafter by the Chargers. But he was mostly out of the public eye. Deion is very much still in the public eye and is very outspoken. Not drafting Shedeur is one way to stick it to Deion and kinda put him in his place.

@darth frosty
Damn how much did Detroit give up to jump? :oops:
How many damn WR's do the Lions need? :hmm:

I’m not saying you need to root for him, but the amount of negativity toward Shedeur Sanders on this app is sad.

Here’s a kid who grew up with all the money in the world, traveled, lived in mansions — the whole nine yards — and yet he chose to pursue his passion. He chose to get HIT for a living. He chose to pursue a career in football, despite the fact he would always be compared to Deion, the best EVER to do it.

I’m sorry, but that’s pretty freaking admirable to me.
