What apps are you guys using to buy crypto?
What digital wallets do you guys recommend to use?

I've been using g PayPal but they have only 4 choices to buy from

Buying on PayPal is just that... buying. You don't own the coins... you can't withdraw them...

Use any other platform. Binance, Kucoin, Hotbit, Gate.io,

Then move your coins to your own wallet. Atomic, Ledger, Trezor, etc.

As always, DYOR...

what's the best way to buy celsius and nexo tokens?

Celsius is available on HitBTC and Hotbit

Nexo is available Hotbit

In the future, go to your preferred coin tracking site (CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, CoinPaprika, etc.), search for the desired coin, look for the "markets" tab, see where the coin is trading, go to the exchange and confirm it is actually trading there...

If the coin you are searching for is not listed on an exchange you can access just keep checking periodically because coins get listed every day on new exchanges...

As always, DYOR...

IRS Initiates ‘Operation Hidden Treasure’ to Root Out Unreported Crypto Income

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) appears to be stepping up its enforcement capabilities with a new program dedicated to cryptocurrency tax compliance.
With “Operation Hidden Treasure,” the IRS will search for unreported crypto-related income, according to the agency’s Director of the Office of Fraud Enforcement, Damon Rowe.
  • Speaking at a Federal Bar Association virtual tax conference, Rowe said cryptocurrency fraud will be a priority. Forbes first reported the news.
  • Operation Hidden Treasure, a joint effort between the IRS’s civil office of fraud enforcement and its criminal investigation unit, will train agents to look at blockchains to root out tax evasion among cryptocurrency users. It will exist as part of the office’s emerging threats mitigation team, Forbes said.
  • IRS employees are also reportedly training alongside the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) as part of the initiative.
Carolyn Schenck, national fraud counsel in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, told conference-goers that the agency is working with private contractors and vendors, presumably blockchain analytics firms, to develop “signatures,” or telltale signs of fraudulent activity.
  • These indicators include looking at those who structure transactions just below reporting requirements (like sending a series of $10,000 transactions), using shell corporations to hide funds as well as “getting on and off the chain,” Schenck reportedly said.
  • The IRS has sent conflicting messages to U.S. crypto holders several times in the past. Most recently, an updated FAQ page indicated that investors who simply bought “virtual currency with real currency” would not have to report that transaction on this year’s tax returns.
  • Still, cashing out crypto or making every-day purchases is typically seen as a taxable event. Operation Hidden Treasure is designed to find, trace, and attribute such transactions to taxpayers, Schenck said.

“These transactions are not anonymous,” she said. “We see you.”

(Reuters) - Blockchain payment firm Ripple will end partnership with money transfer services company MoneyGram International Inc, the companies said on Monday.

They did not specify the reason behind the decision to terminate the agreement, but Ripple Chief Executive Officer Brad Garlinghouse said in a Twitter post here that the companies were committed to revisiting the partnership in future.

Ripple bought a $30 million stake in MoneyGram in 2019, with the partnership initially set for two years. The deal allowed MoneyGram to use Ripple's product for cross-border payment and foreign exchange settlement. (reut.rs/3emIgNk)

In December, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charged Ripple, associated with cryptocurrency XRP, with conducting a $1.3 billion unregistered securities offering.

While bitcoin is considered a commodity by U.S. financial regulators, most other cryptocurrencies are yet to be classified as commodities or securities.

MoneyGram, which stopped transacting under its commercial agreement with Ripple in early December, said in a regulatory filing it will not receive any market development fees in 2021.

I bought some ADA on eToro a few weeks ago and I'm unable to sell it. I opened a ticket with them and did a google search. This is what I found:

Why can't I open a short (SELL) position?
eToro is one of the world's most popular trading platforms, and in 2018 it is opening its doors to the U.S. market.

For the moment, not all markets are available to trade and certain features are disabled. This is why you do not currently have the option to open short (SELL) positions.

A gradual rollout is planned - we are now in the initial phase of the U.S. launch, and we are hoping to launch additional features soon.

Travala (AVA) is currently trading at $3.85. Up almost 300% since I first informed this group about this crypto project in early January. I am expecting $5+ once the partnership news is released.

Also, I've been rewarded $250 in interest from just holding Travala and have also been rewarded $150 in free travel credits. One of the best real world use case projects out there for avid travelers.

Binance is the best place to buy it.
KuCoin is 2nd best.
Exodus wallet for swaps from BTC or ETHE.

It may retrace to $3.70 from the current $4.10 price.
Dollar cost average.
