It's mostly hero worship. McAfee was charged with securities fraud for pumping Verge in 2017 and he did nothing compared to the pump and dump and then pump again that Elon did this past weekend with Doge. Plus all the pumps from earlier this year.
You don't want to "invest" in something that's manipulated by a handful of people. It's like 12 wallets controlling 50% of all Doge coins. Trade the predictable swings and that's it . Also, there's unlimited supply with doge coin. They can print coins forever. This kind of thinking is what makes people lose their life savings.

How much was the fee?
I got in like the 3rd week of april so not as bad as it is now. I'm helping my boy buy now and recommend going to kucoin and buying Shiba Inu with USDT. They wanted an insane fee of $595 swapping for a relatively small amount of buying power. No Bueno.
