while amazon and google are great long term stocks to hold till retirement age...

crypto coins are risky as hell, but are way more promising if flippin your money faster and for far better results is what you are looking for.

sheet I know of folks that invested about five hundred dollars... in lite coin and cashed out damn near a qtr milly...

I read that and was like I better look into this crypto coin shit..

Id be honest with you to, I think they are going to try some fuckery right before ripple blows up, to get people to sell all their coins...

put out a fake news story.... so ripple can drop and then they the whales could buy em all up pennies on the dollar...

right before it takes off..

anything other than XRP is out of my jurisdiction lol

this is the most comfortable I've felt about investing in anything

will probably be my one and only time doing this for better or for "worse"
 
I believe you'll be OK with it. Again, I think it still has huge upside but the guys in the thread talking about it will reach BTC value in price are delusional.

I own XRP too and even at my high estimate of $1 to $2 it would be a huge ROI from current price.

Short term I still see the upside with BTC because trump is going to continue to tank the economy which will help cryptocurrencies and precious metals (gold, silver, etc.)

As far as your theory, it is possible. Didn't XRP pump to almost $0.10 before the last dump in supply?

I don't think anyone has really said that...early on in the thread dudes flirted w/ the idea while we were still learning about it but I honestly can't recall the last time someone said that it'd reach the same value as bitcoin :dunno:

I agree with you here. XRP will never get to bitcoins levels bc its not designed to do so. it is a different target market. BUT...the projections that I read...waaay back in the middle of this thread was somewhere between 3-5 dollars max. best guesstimate is 3.50 usd. BUT
if you invest now at .03 cents and watch it hit 1.00 in 2-3 years as the general public starts to learn and invest or in less than a year when chump fucks up the economy. then who can complain about that ROI. that level of return would still be phenominal....and still hold 2-3 bitcoins in reserve for a store of value.
at least that my place. all these hypersters talking btc at 500k and 1mill are too much. but I hope it does see that level if I'm holding 2-3 btc. but aside from that the ROI on xrp is still a good investment.
another thing I'm looking long term on beside btc is eth, ltc, and zcash....monero is also a contender but very slow right now.....but crooks are ALWAYS going to need a way to move money anonymously...so xmr and zec are on my radar for a hold.

yes but I believe its mostly hype...but on the off chance, I bought 1 just bc.

they are basing it on the fact that there are only 21 million. 16 million have already been mined. so that leave 5 millin left. that scarcity creates a higher value/demand. just like gold in the real world...so value will increase as the ecosystem gets larger and larger and use/demand goes up. I read one projection that put it at 175k per coin by 2030. it is sound in theory but 1 million per coin is a bit much. however, I am willing to invest 1.2k right now and hold 13 years to "test" that theory. as it is intriguing AND BY THEN, there will be an ETF, regulations, laws, and test cases from somebody, somewhere to make sure they keep pushing the price up. there was a alleged white paper from the PRBC that theorized 1 mill per coin by 2050 and what to do with it...however, I am having trouble finding that paper. bc it seems to have been scrubbed form the net.
being analyticl by nature, I am a voracious reader and hunt info, try and track down sources to see if I can properly connect the dots and f the picture they reveal makes sense to me.

the winklevoss twins ETF proposal showed me that they are trying to do the same thing with bitcoin as these wallstreet fuckers did with gold by selling paper shares of the bitcoin as derivatives of value to 10 times the number of people than they could actually cover on a margin call....same trick they pulled with gold/silver. if there was a margin call on precious metals today, mofos would have a helluva time collecting on all the gold they think they own on paper.(one of the reasons I prefer nano ledgers for btc. if it isn't in your hand, you don't own it). BUT THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY APPROVE THIS STUFF. regulation or no. its about making money and greed never sleeps. in fact most of us here are counting on it to push these cryptocurrencies into our wildest dreams.

I never said it would hit any high price. In the short term I've earned more from holding xrp than btc. No matter what the coin is I'm just investing what I can afford to lose. Time will tell which coins were the best investment.

Since the start of the thread I've been saying the samething. Look at every coin and buy based on the potential of the project to go somewhere. Will you become a millionaire over night; not likely. However, it's better than buying purely based on price movement and hype.

yes but until it is actually on the list, don't worry. I have a feeling that if it does ever get on that list ripple will have sold everyone out and divested the ripple protocol from the xrp and that would screw them as a company and their reputation. and reputation is everything in business.

yeah man....that means people are buying and its incubating...plus ripple keeps dumping more xrp into the pot to suppress the price. they want to inject the 9 billion or whatever it was one of their colleagues returned before the price starts to really go up. I'm hoping for 1 usd or more. projections possibly 3.50 max....but right now I'm holding and sitting.

I'm still reading some of the info out there. but its a genius move to integrate all of the cryptocurrencies into connectivity that they don't currently have which is awesome.....kind of being like the bank...no matter who borrows or sells, they get paid. the old people called that making money coming and going.

AS SOON AS I FIND OUT, IMMA POST IT ON THE BOARD.

I have worked on too many of the dominant majorities boards, committees, and working groups NOT TO RECOGNIZE the power of working together to exchange ideas and creative solutions.

the challenge is the mandatory minimum. the one I looked at was 50k to invest and you had to provide proof of income > than 200K. I'm not there yet, but working on it.
