Deontay Wilder won't pick up the phone to discuss Anthony Joshua fight, says Eddie Hearn

"I think they've made their mind up - they don't want to fight Anthony Joshua. It's frustrating because I think we're in a place where it's a really great deal.

"Wilder has always said 'one face, one name, one champion', but the deal we've offered is more than a fair split for Wilder. And it's two fights - one in the UK and one in the US.

"But he's not even entertaining that fight. Wilder won't even answer the phone, so that's well out the window."

If, as appears likely, Wilder does not agree to fight Joshua in April, Hearn says Dillian Whyte, Tyson Fury and Jarrell Miller are all possible opponents for the Brit.

However, he admits negotiations with Whyte are also providing troublesome, saying: "We've had a great run with Dillian Whyte.

"He wants a shot at the world heavyweight title. We've delivered that - he doesn't feel like the package is right at the moment. I think it is a good offer.

"It was never going to be easy. But you get to a point where you say 'Dillian, this is your chance to fight for four heavyweight belts at Wembley for millions'. What more can we do?

"These kind of opportunities don't come around that often. You're going to own the keys to the kingdom if you can beat Anthony Joshua."

Hearn also revealed he has made an offer to Fury, the former four-belt world champion who most recently drew with Wilder in a split decision in December.

He said: "I've spoken to Tyson and he asked me to make him an offer, which we did. There was talk about 'did I offer him 60-40' - yes, I did.

"He was world heavyweight champion - he's not anymore. AJ is a bigger global star, but Fury deserves so much respect. 60-40 as a voluntary defence - this is a great deal."

With negotiations with Wilder, Whyte and Fury providing frustrating, Hearn says Miller could fill the void and become the next man to try to beat Joshua.

"The one guy that looks like he's up for a fight is Jarrell Miller," said Hearn. "He wants a lot of money, but he's more realistic than the other guys.

"I do feel there is a value to Joshua making his US debut. While our order goes Wilder, Fury, Whyte and Miller, any of those are capable of getting the fight."

Amazes me how AJ and Hearn are continuously criticized despite being the only ones sending multiple offers. Deontay Wilder has received a 15m guarantee and a 40% split of the purse PLUS a two way rematch clause with the 2nd being in the US regardless if he lost. That is an extremely fair offer, more than he deserves. As for Fury, if he declines 40% but takes that same split for Wilder he's also ducking Joshua. These guys want a retirement paycheque, they dont believe they can actually beat AJ.

I don’t believe anything from AJ camp. They flat out backed out of a Wilder fight now they are saying Wilder scared ? I doubt that.
at this point wilder got a nice payday with the fury rematch. now he's a coward because eddie and his team are saying wilder not speaking to them. he got a solid fight that didn't give him the run around. wilder fury 2 will happen and do numbers because of how the 1st one ended.

By the way the 50 million was coming from (BT Sports. Confirmed by Frank, Lou and shirly lol) AJ can not fight for BT sports because he's under contract to SKY sports.

The offer now is 28 million with upside and a rematch in US win or loose. Wilder is fucking coward.

15 million is crack head money  Wilder never ever made 15 mil lol

Deontay Wilder be getting a guaranteed purse of $4 million, while his opponent challenger Tyson Fury will be receiving slightly less at $3 million for their fight this Saturday night on Showtime PPV at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Both fighters will make considerably more from the PPV money and ticket sales.

Here are the purses for the undercard fights:

– Jarrett Hurd $1 million vs. Jason Welborn $30,000

– Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz $375,000 vs. Travis Kauffman $125,000

– Joe Joyce $40,000 vs. Joe Hanks $50,000

– Carlos Licona $30,000 vs. Mark Anthony Barriga $25,000

– Julian Williams $30,000 vs. Francisco Javier Castro $2,500

– Jessie Rodriguez $7,000 vs. Josue Morales $6,000

– Chris Arreola $25,000 vs. Maurenzo Smith $16,000

– Robert Guerrero $25,000 vs. Adam Mate $2,500

– Isaac Lowe $5,000 vs. Lucas Rafael Baez $2,500

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will be rewarded with the biggest paydays of their careers when they go to war on Saturday night.

The self-styled Gypsy King will earn significantly less than his American adversary but is still set to eclipse his previous best figure which came against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

Wilder will take home a larger portion of the purse with ESPN claiming he will bag $4million, while Fury will earn $3m.

Broner still got at least a couple decent purses in his career, AB vs DSG and AB vs Khan would do good revenue. AB's still good at getting ignorant which has made him one of the biggest draw among American Boxers

Crackhead money is in reference to $15 million compared to the 80 or more that would be generated. Even Lennox days Joshua is running and that’s his countryman

Lennox Lewis don't know what he's talking about. Mike Tyson Wilder countryman said Wilder aint fighting the best heavy weights.

Compare AJ's resume at 22 fights to Wilder's. Who is AJ running from? Ortiz

Lennox Lewis is with PBC and BT sports

LOU DIBELLA COMFIRMS BT SPORTS INVOLVEMENT IN THE 50,000,000 AJ OFFER

ironkong265 hours ago (edited)

1,this outs Finkel as a liar.He said the offer was nothing to do with BT. 2,there is a world of difference between 50 million(for Joshua) and 6 million(for Fury.) 3,Joshua can't fight on BT(unless he loses a purse bid.) 4,Proof of funds in escro is common place in business and sport generally. 5,Espinosa is a lying douche bag. 6,they wanted Joshua to accept without checking ANY details whatsoever.Who would even concider that(wilder probably!) 7,meetings cancelled by Finkel. So how can you possibly discuss a fight without meeting.Finkel stated"accept the offer and we can talk."A VERBAL AGREEMENT IS BINDING IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK. 8,there was a 24 hr deadline on the offer.NO MENTION OF A GUARANTEED 30 MILLION REMATCH CLAUSE. 9,its funny how dibella has NO issue with Joshua screwing up a good thing with SKY. BUT HE WON'T LET WILDER FIGHT ON DAZN? 10,This whole circus continues to stink of a Haymon and co propaganda exercise. All geared around faking their interest in fighting Joshua.Just so they could boost wilders piss poor profile. They are a bunch of cowardice MFs!!!!!

If any of you ever get an LDBC poster crying 50m duck just copy and paste or reword this: The 50m money may or may have not been real but it wasn't a 'real' offer where you could consider it an actual offer Wilder didn't offer nothing and this is why...... a) The 50m was only a possibility if the fight was in Vegas so PBC could recoup their losses. Since the A side calls the shots, this offer is void as A side Joshua stated he wanted the fight in the UK. Noone wants the fight in Vegas....so there is no 50 million PLUS for the 456th time. b) That 50m is worthless without a contract. If I said to you that I am going to give you 1000 bucks to have a boxing fight with me and here is the contract you have to sign but are not allowed to read it, would you accept the 1000 bucks? Yes or No - What I am not telling you is that in the small print is that you have to wear pink frilly shorts, high heels and lipstick and it takes place in a Texas jailhouse and you have to drop the soap in the showers at the end, than would you still sign....... c) The 50m offer was all a 24 hour scam for Hearn and AJ to verbally accept something that was legally binding in New York on the B sides terms without the A side knowing the consequences. I.e Buying a car for 5000 but they don't tell you in the small print that you have to pay 1m for it in 2 months time. Noone is that stupid to fool for that. d) The 50m was only exclusive for AJ to fight on Frank Warren's TV rights to Boxnation on BT Sports. Joshua is exclusively contracted to Sky Sports and always has been so again.... another reason that the 50m was bs. OR Copy and paste them this video Bruce has just done with these other links and tell them to go an watch and that can be aimed at any LDBC channel, Fighthype or any boxer not knowing the truth.
