You're a prizefighter, I know proving you're the best is a motivating factor but at the end of the day, you're in this business to make money, a good payday lower risk fight makes sense from the business end. A Terrance Crawford fight will be there tomorrow a Pacquaio fight won't.

Thurman wanted the Manny fight for a long time because it gets him on PPV, Thurman's highest purse in his career so far is the $2mil vs DSG, this PPV will raise his profile especially if he gets the W. It gets him opportunity for another potential PPV vs winner of the Garcias after this fight
