Man you crazy.... you have any idea how much money these Saudis are handing out? Ain't now way he wasn't showing up for the bag.
He wasn't willing to do fights for a smaller purses like that, after he only made around $4.5mil vs Helenius 2 yrs ago he was in negotiations with Ruiz for awhile but the 2 sides couldn't find anybody to stake enough money to satisfy both sides so it never got made.
Which is why the market needs to be reset.
No way in hell should anyone make $4.5m to fight someone like Helenius.
Those kinds of absurd kind of paydays bring about unrealistic expectations.
Same reason why we haven't seen Any Ruiz in over a year.

That's what sparring partners are for. To prepare you for tough fights, you need tough opposition. Who's going to prepare you more for a big fight, Peter McNeeley, Buster Mathis Jr, and Bruce Seldon, or Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer, and Ray Mercer?
Gym sparring can only do so much. Fighters need to get live bullets with smaller gloves and no head gear. It matters.
