Finally watching the Epsiode.
Man Black Lightning might be the realest Black show on TV.
And Man I’m 100% all in on this Gambi backstory. Dude has his fingers in all of this. I’m really trying to figure out his role.
Also impressed that they didn’t drag out the reveal on Anissa

Yeah sometimes a show can rush it... but it makes perfect sense because they show laid the ground work in earlier episodes that Anissa was confused about her powers and then this episode and (her pitch perfect reaction) to the effect that she had on other people when she destroyed that statue set up her calling mom.
In fact... I really want to talk about that moment cause I saw no one else did. How amazing was that... like you never see that in shows. She had this preconceived notion of making this amazing heroic moment by walking up and destroying this statue. She thought that that moment would make her into a symbol... but she has no idea of the range of her powers... so she used her power to destroy the statute but in a realistic way... the surrounding people were Fucking terrified and she immediately realized that she has no idea what she is doing.
Like I watched that shit twice... it was an amazing moment that I wish shows or movies did more of.
Lol right now I’m catching up on the last episode of Supernatural before Agents of Shield starts in 30 minutes.

When it’s all said and Done... if they do it right this could end up being one of the best American animated action shows of all time.
