HIs mom is Berber Algerian from the same ethnic group as Zidane. I don't see this ending any other way than him being in that same Madrid shirt as Zidane. PSG played themselves...

There really is no money other destination for this kid. He’ll probably retire with Madrid in a decades time.

US women did not behave well and make friends in NZ

imagine any of these athletes: Larry Bird, Serena Williams, Kobe, MJ, Reggie Jackson, Lewis Hamilton. Beckham, Sampras, Tiger, Gretsky etc - dancing after a poorly played game ends in a draw

then they let this swedish hotness almost single hand-idly send them home

Meanwhile, Harry Kane to Bayern is surprising.

He’s gonna bag some goals in Germany for sure.

Neymar was once a promising star and his career went to the dogs.
The Saudis on a mission to ruin football.
How in hell Jordan Henderson getting £700,000 a week at Al-Ettifaq. :smh:

Just like they did golf. Even tho I don't follow it at all I follow world economics and those camel jockeys can crash the world's economy in a heartbeat. They're just getting started by fucking with sports.

We should have taken our oil from under their sand when we had the chance.

Idk if they’re ruining it or will succeed in trying. They’re trying to do what China did 10 years ago which is buy stars and pay them an exorbitant salary to attract new investment and eyes like Oscar and Hulk. That project failed miserably cause who the hell wants to watch football in China? Same deal with Saudi Arabia. Nobodies gonna watch that week in week out.

They’d have to package, market and compete on the European and South American levels plus contend with that history. Ronaldo ain’t enough to pull viewership away from Copa America or the Champions League.

They’ll be at MLS’s level at best.

Football will be fine in Europe & South Americas hands per usual.

And yes, ain’t no way Jordan Henderson should be getting that lol

The differences between Saudi and Chinese leagues is money and locale. The Saudi league broadcasts throughout the mideast, Europe, and Africa. While the viewership will easily eclipse China... Yeah that shit can't last.

Most of Africa is Premier League territory.

I’d be hard pressed to believe that fans in Kenya would switch from Liverpool or United Al-Wassa Happen but I get what your saying. We shall see but I have my doubts. It’s a novelty at best.

Saudi mad as shit about Qatar WC so this their attempt at sportswashing. They will throw everything they have at it like China did but I honestly think MLS, as shit as it is, will be in a better place than the Saudi League when this is all said and done. Unlike NYC or Miami etc., nobody is going to fucking Riyadh to watch a match nor is anybody tuning in on Fox to watch this shit. Apple struck gold with the MLS deal and Messi's arrival because Inter Miami versus actual Mexican football giants or big US city clubs in the evening US time is way more compelling than Al Shabab v. Al Nassr at 10 AM. :smh: Qatar lucked out in the sense that people will watch a fucking world cup regardless and the final was a top 5 final of all time. Nothing about Qatar itself played a role in any of that and nobody is sitting here talking about Qatar killed fewer South Asians than normal when constructing the stadiums for the WC, I will take my family to visit.:smh:

MLS will be fine cause in typical American fashion, we can market the living fuck outta anything. Even if the quality ain’t that great. Goddammit we gon make you buy some damn tickets and encourage the FOMO. That’s just what the US media machine does so yea, MLS will be just fine and steady where it is.

But I truly hate that whole “sportswashing” blip when it comes to this stuff.

We’re about to host a World Cup in the US again and most people in the world are scared shitless to come here for it and rightfully so! They have a solid and valid point. But when middle easterners or anybody else put on a grand show, they knitpick and make non issues, “issues” and call it sportwashing. Just say you mad that your competition is doing it better and keep it moving.

Mind you, many have said that the Qatari WC was on of these best ones to date. I tend to agree with that.

Like I said, Qataris lucked up in the sense that you have a crazy final but I strongly disagree with Qatar having anything to do with the WC being "good". Anyone who will be boycotting the US on ethical grounds sure as hell wasn't in Qatar. What connection did Qatar have at all to anything football? Egypt or the rest of North Africa, sure. Random gulf arab country with very questionable human rights/race record where I can't even drink a beer unless I am rich enough to be in a box...? South Africa WC at least was pitched as an African WC and they leaned into the African football history. This shit was Qatar trying to make it seem like a normal place when it is decidedly not.

US WC will end up as one of the most attended again solely because it is in the US. Friends/family/work colleagues from all over Europe and Africa already planning their trips to the US for '26. '94 WC had the highest average and aggregate of all WCs for the same reason; people want to be in the US. Shit, Mexican federation would play their home WCQ in LA or Houston if they could.

I will agree that everybody that said they wouldn't watch it definitely did watch it. I watched most matches in Shoreditch with a "friend" after swearing not to. Watched the final in the same spot as the groups/knock outs and had to be escorted out after the PKs. Argentines talk big shit for being little squat motherfuckers... :smh:

That's why they're trying to buy African stars. They can focus on eastern Africa and north Africa for now. West Africa will always be for the Prem.
