He's proven for England that he's not a midfielder. This isn't a slight on TAA. I think he's the best crosser of the ball I've seen since Beckham, it's just that the modern game is moving away from traditional fullbacks in favor of inverted one's (I personally hate inverted FBs).
We'll see what happens but you're going to have to pay him top $ in terms of wages. The good news for you guys is that you have a very capable young backup behind him in Bradley. He's obviously not on TAA's level going forward but he's much better defensively.
