I hadn't read any spoilers before watching.
It took me.back to the 90s when I first saw ninja scroll after years of Disney cartoons.

He was a character that was not conceived as gay. Kirkman felt that they werent doing anything interesting with him and decided to make that choice.
That's fucked up
