The Heat may be better off losing this game, so they can light a flame under their asses, to let them know no matter how much talent you have, you cant mail in games in the NBA.

You mean better off winning at least it shows they can close out a close game.

The Heat won, but if I were their coach I would get in their asses (no homo) letting them know that you have to play 100% every single night in the NBA, no matter who your opponent is.

Yes but they cant get too used to playing like that, because it can come and bit their asses in the playoffs.

How so? when their last 11 opponents they blow out by 10+ points? The reality is all elite teams are going to have games against opponents where its going to be close, the question is can they stay disciplined to get out the win

If thats some secret shit he been holding onto thats going to fuck a lot of teams up in close game situations. Opposing coaches going to have box and 1 plays on Wade and James totally leaving Bosh open

I would not have mind if the Knicks were to play them close, but the Wiz? In my opinion this should have been expected, because let downs happen all the time, especially during a back to back and you are playing against a poor team (look at the Knicks struggles against the Cavs tonight).
But a team with so much talent as the Heat, the point of emphasis should have been fighting against the letdown. They should have been challenge to play as if this was game 7 in the finals. No way they should have slept walk for over three quarters and think it is cool.
Bad habbits often have a way of creeping back later on (I've seen it happen to the Cavs in the past, and if the Heat don't watch out it can happen to them.)
The good news is the Heat have far better talent, and more time to straiten this out.

Actually if you looked at the Wiz line up for this game they had a pretty solid crew with Hinrich at the point. He takes care of the ball a whole lot better than when he was in Chicago then you had Blantch, Young, Thornton and Howard? thats a solid five considering.

I would agree, if it weren't for the fact that the Heat almost lost, not the Wiz almost beating us. Hey a win is a win, but in this case the success of the team may lie on how we deal and learn from these type of efforts. If it becomes a pattern, then it will be a problem, if they become better motivated by not taking their opponent lightly, then this season may be something magical.
But then again I can be a hard ass sometimes, thats why I shouldn't be a coach.
