The Pelicans will only leave New Orleans in two ways.

1. They are sold and moved. (In this case a group from Seattle will probably step in and the Pelicans will become the reactivated Super Sonics and Seattle will regain their history and backstory from OKC)

2. They are contracted (probably not likely with option number 1 on the table)

Gayle Benson is not going to move from one small market to another and operate it in that market, even with basketball being far down the social totem pole in New Orleans it would still be a totally unpopular move with the citizens here and probably a money losing option for her.

Well I guess the best thing for Gayle to do is sale the team. They are not going to attract big stars and go very far, but then again Gayle is old so I'm sure she probably don't care she just gonna hold on to it just for old sake.

You can make that argument about every small market team.

Where do you think Karl Anthony Towns and Giannis Antetokounmpo are going to playing in 5 or 6 years? Probably not with their current squads and no stars are going to leave sexy markets to join them Minnesota or Milwaukee. The ESPN hype machine will be cranking out stories around the clock about them "wanting out".

It's just that when it concerns New Orleans, it looks worse because the fanbase here is so football crazy but rather tepid about basketball. Fans in those smaller markets at least show some enthusiasm and in some cases beg their stars to stay. Here, our daily paper is already jokingly calling AD a "future Laker".

Realistically, the next 5-6 years are going to be key when the lease with the state comes into play.

Giannis has no reason to leave Milwaukee they have a good team. And they have a good coach. He already said he loves it there and that it's no need for him to leave.

Karl Anthony Towns could have left already but he re-sign with Minnesota.

Anthony Davis I can see possibly joining his hometown Chicago Bulls if they can get it together and get some other free agents to sign there to go along with Anthony if they get him and getting a good coach. I remember reading an article of him saying he envisioned himself in a Bulls uniform growing up.

They can say what ever they want but the fact is, they are young black millionaires who are more often than not going to want to live in sexy locations.

Everybody is not the same though. Some players rather play in smaller markets like a Milwaukee or Minnesota.

Some players don't like the media baggage that comes with playing in a larger city.

Karl Anthony Towns could not have left Minnesota as he was signed to his second contract after his rookie deal... he would have been a restricted free agent had he decided he wanted to leave. The TWolves would have instantly matched any offer.

Giannis will have reason to leave Milwaukee because the team will never win an NBA Championship. Give him a few more seasons and once his contract is in its final season, he will start the exit process.

21 10 15 with no jumper the rest of the nba better pray this kid does t develop confidence in his shot.

Down 8 with about 2 to go great comeback by the Sixers still don’t like browns coaching style and their bench sucks. I cringe when I see or hear tj is in the game

Who else in league history can do this with no jumper. He won't get any credit on here though. It's more entertaining to make fun of him I guess. :dunno::smh:

At this point it's just weird. He doesn't need to shoot jumpers yet but it's weird that he practices jumpers in practice, but doesn't shoot them in games.
