The Knicks are all in for the race to the bottom. Enes Kanter and Wesley Matthews Jr. will be great veteran pick ups for contending teams. The Rockets especially need to go after Kanter hard.

Micky Loomis , not demps, is running the show. Steven A Smith is the biggest idiot on a network full of idiots. ....

Demps answers to Loomis, Loomis isn't out there scout players and evaluating basketball talent. Loomis heard of the trade request while he was at the Senior Bowl.

Demps still made decisions that have this franchise in the situation it's in now

Not his fault them niggas don’t want to play for that team.

What that got to do with anything apart from taking a shot.

Demps should most certainly take the fault for the franchise being the state it's in. Nobody is blaming those kids for not wanting to come here, the blame is on Demps for creating this environment.

They were just in the playoffs last year.

Pelicans made the right move. I'm sure they will get a better deal during the offseason. It's up to Anthony to keep his self healthy if he wants to be attractive to another team. I wouldn't be suprised if Golden State try to get Anthony in a deal in the offseason. If they don't re-sign Cousins and if they decide to deal Draymond Green they could go after Anthony Davis and package some other pieces together to try to sway Anthony Davis away from New Orleans.

Pelicans have had AD since 2012 and only have two Playoff appearances and one series win to show for it.

What other GM gets to keep his job with a record like that.

I mean yeah you could argue he should've been fired. Not debating that...but let's be honest about what's going on in the NBA right now. GM's aren't building teams. These players are controlling what teams they go to and when they want to leave is on their own terms.

So basically he couldn't field a better team better than the Rockets or Warriors could.

Pelicans are just stuck in roster purgatory like every other team in the West is......just standing pat and hoping and praying a star comes to them. But a star isn't going to New Orleans. A star ain't going to Dallas.....How can you sell anyone to come to the Pelicans when their star player don't want to play there? And everyone knew it too. The minute he was drafted everyone knew he would be there until he got tired.

So the blame should go at Anthony Davis for not having the voice and leadership skills to be able to sell star players and quality free agents on playing with him.

New Orleans is not standing pat and hoping another star comes to them, people here are knowledgeable enough to know star players are not coming here of their own free will and this team will have to be built throw the draft. The real issue is that in less than 10 years, we've seen Chris Paul and Anthony Davis ask for trades and now it's time to figure out why this is happening and what has to change. Is it a change in the front office, coaching, medical staff? Do they need to be further separated from the New Orleans Saints? or is it time to throw in the towel and get that $1 billion check from Seattle?

Now you on Kuz dick, 12 hours ago you was like fuck him I want the brow.

Unloyal ass ninjas I tell you.:lol:

This is a business. The Lakers organization is about championships, not feelings. Put your big boy pants on. Anybody is expendable except Bron. KCP is a Paul-Bron client and even his ass was on the block.

I been said Kuzma can ball but if you got a chance to get Anthony Davis, you do your due diligence.

Fuck AD till he has on the purple and gold. The best move is Bron for AD straight up. Then you can get Kawhai and maybe Klay to come. Let's see if anyone wants to Voltron up with Bron after looking at the other players post team up.

Magic Johnson flying to meet with team to clear trade deadline air
Erik García Gundersen30 minutes ago

After nearly two weeks of very public trade talks that involved basically everybody but LeBron James, the Real Lakers of Los Angeles are heading towards the Airing of the Grievances episode of their already dramatic season.

According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Magic Johnson is heading to Philadelphia to let the players who are still on the roster do just that. While Rajon Rondo saved the day on Thursday with a game-winner, egos and emotions around the Lakers are still evidently pretty raw.

However, Johnson’s hope is that he can get the Lakers focused on their jobs and not their uncertain future.

From Turner

Johnson will tell the Lakers that it is their responsibility to be professional and to play their best basketball so they can make the playoffs in the uber-tough Western Conference, one person said.

After last night’s victory, the Lakers are 1.5 games out of the 8th spot in the West and three games out of the 6th spot. With so few games left to play and so many of them against good teams in high profile games, Johnson isn’t taking any chances that the feelings stirred at the trade deadline will disappear without acknowledging them.

Kyrie Irving Rumors: Danny Ainge says July 1 ‘marriage’ between Boston Celtics and Irving still on

Danny Ainge joined the Toucher & Rich radio show this morning for his usual chat, and after some unsuccessful attempts to pry any information about the Anthony Davis talks, they turned their attention to Kyrie Irving and his suddenly uncertain future.

It didn’t seem quite as uncertain to Ainge, though, who insisted that after all the rumors and even after the tone of Irving’s press conference in New York, that Kyrie and the Boston Celtics are still on track to take this relationship to the next step.

“I think a lot of people because of Kyrie’s announcement at the beginning of the year thought that there was a marriage,” Ainge told the hosts. “I think it’s it’s more like an engagement, and we’re gonna get married on July first, and I think that that engagement is still on as far as I know in my individual conversations with Kyrie. We’re still engaged, but we really can’t make those vows, sign that contract, until July first.”

The usual caveats still apply to any situation that’s still nearly five months away. A lot can change over that amount of time and it’s hard to say which winds will blow to knock this Love Boat off its intended course. The most recent gusts of hot air seemed to come from the Klutch Sports camp in their efforts to pry Anthony Davis away from the Pelicans and drive him to the Los Angeles Lakers. They needed to try to eliminate Boston as a potential trade destination, which meant mucking up some uncertainty around Kyrie Irving.

In New York, an obviously agitated Irving shot back at questions about whether his mindset had shifted with a terse “ask me July first," instead of a simple yes or no.

Ainge was asked about Kyrie’s combative media availability.

“Did you talk to him after those comments?”

“Yeah, yeah, we’ve had a couple of different conversations. Absolutely,” Ainge replied.

“And how did you leave feeling after those conversations about Kyrie?"

“Good," Ainge answered. "Better than maybe the mood of that initial press conference. I don’t really know all that was going on with him. But we have had some good conversations.”

When pressed on why Irving didn’t just come out and reaffirm his previous commitment and why he seemed so upset in New York, Ainge answered “you’d have to ask Kyrie those questions. I think he’s -- I don’t know, I think that he just doesn’t like his name in all these rumors and associated with all these other players. I think he likes to be his own man and have his own mind and his own opinions. But I feel like there’s still a chance that on July 1 he stays here and that’s what we’re shooting for. We still have a date on July first.”

After the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kyrie Irving seemed a little relieved the trade deadline had passed. Ainge expressed the same public confidence in being able to keep his star player as reports have suggested he’s had all along.

Now if the Celtics really want to guarantee a marriage in July, they need to do some serious ring shopping in June.

Bron's gonna lure Dwight Howard and a washed up Nash. Will you hop on his nuts then?

First it was "nobody wants to play with Bron", now its "I dont want AD".

Truthfully, us Laker fans dont care what you Dubs fans prefer.
