Magic resigning means the Anthony Davis deal to Celtics is a done deal. Kyrie will remain and KD will sign as a free agent to form a new super three in Boston. Tatum and Brown will be traded for AD. Haywood and Al Horford plus First two first picks for Lebron

If Lebron want out of L.A. do the Sixers resign and trade Jimmy Butler and Reddick for Lebron and Josh Hart

You know the real problem with being Negrodamus? You get to experience the pain of shit like this twice.

Magic made fucked up trades, dissed cats like Corey who then shitted on the Lakers to Paul George. Let Randle, Lopez, Thomas Bryant walk for nothing. Dumped Zubac for half a bag of shit. Paid KCP 30 million but traded the Somali Pirate for Hart. Talked shit about the snitch instead of simply wishing him well and signed Bronze to a 4 year max and cats don't even want to be in space jam 2 with him let alone the Lakers.

All the young guys were on the trading block and the coach is a dead man walking.

Could have hired Jerry West as a consultant but was like "nah, I got this bro" I'm a winner. Disgusting

Damn son.

With you break it down that way, Magic had no idea what he was doing.

Lakers organization is very unstable right now. I felt like the team checked out back in January.

He let LeBron influence him too much.

I think Magic is too old school in a modern NBA. That's a problem with a lot of older basketball players.

Basketball changed. He needed shooters, not Lance and Beasley

Man of all the shit that went down this season, for some reason this is the move that REALLY bugs me :smh:

The goal was to get rid of Beasley after the Luke shit.

They could have just waived him.

If you're going to let Zubac go, just let him go in the summer. You showcased him to trade him...for nothing..

That was the most puzzling move he made....that made zero sense.

I understood KCP, it was a one year deal....and it was sort of a favor for Rich Paul

but 8 million to Lance made no sense. Nobody else was going to pay Lance close to that. Shit who else wanted him?

Lakers are fucked bro; the crazy thing is it will still come back to AD:eek:because if Boston gets AD then I think Kyrie stays in Boston; that means KD aint going to NY by himself; LAC or Tor will get Leonard; who going to LA?? Cousins :hmm:nah, Butler?? nah; Lakers have played themselves something serious....

None of their moves have made any sense since Magic was the GM; they only got LBJ and they was getting him regardless....

The Lakers will throw money at Jimmy Butler this summer...because Tobias pretty much made it so Philly can't keep both.

I have no faith, because Rob doesn't have experience either...and he should have been more vocal in situations since he is the GM

I knew this shit wasn't going to end well from Lavar...they needed to put dude in his place and shut him up, but they let him continue talking shit last year and shit on Luke and the training staff.

Warriors cant afford KD and hes already turned down a long term deal. Hes not staying in Oakland. Prolly gonna end up trading Dray this summer as well. Giving Curry that big contract sealed KDs fate, and Klay must be resigned. The Splash bros will remain but the heart and soul will be gone.

he might not stay but don't lie please.
the owner said he doesn't care about a luxury tax so they can afford kd
and kd has not turned down a long term deal because one wasn't offered yet
to this point its been what kind of deal do you want and he's chosen the 1+1

thanks

You sound completely stupid; GS can afford whatever they want; the owner has already said it; So regardless if KD leaves or stay, it wont be because of money; Like I said, I dont believe KD will go to NY by himself; he might he might stay who knows; but he aint going to leave because of money; and I would be highly surprised if KD went to NY by himself....

So you see ownership making KD the highest paid player on the team yes or no? On the market he can get more than what Curry got. Taking less would be a paycut, which is what he's been doing the last 3 years. At what point does he say he wants a long term deal? Never?

And KD signed 1 plus 1 so that GS would have his full bird rights and can offer him the supermax; which no other team can...

Here's Why Money Won't Split The Golden State Warriors Up

SportsMoneyI focus on the strategy, salary cap and business side of the Warriors.facing a big summer, and potentially an even bigger luxury tax bill, with Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson’s free agency this year, and Draymond Green following next year. Both Thompson and Green were signed before the influx of money due to the NBA’s new TV deal exploded league-wide revenues and the salary cap, meaning that their current contracts are very good value. Meanwhile, Durant has repeatedly taken less money than he could have, valuing the flexibility of shorter-term deals for himself as well as helping the Warriors to re-sign veterans Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston in 2017, and then to add DeMarcus Cousins last summer.

Presently the situation around Durant looks increasingly murky, with multiple Warriors beat reporters writing that he’s avoiding the media in the wake of the New York Knicks carving out enough salary cap space to sign two max players in the summer. Given the febrile atmosphere in the NBA in the run-up to the trade deadline it’s not hard to see why Durant, who has repeatedly stressed he wants to concentrate on basketball, may not want to talk publicly and face a barrage of questions about the legacy-defining choice ahead of him. Any decisions made, or statements issued, before free agency can change as the Boston Celtics saw last week with Kyrie Irving rowing back on his pre-season pledge to stay.

Money is not a problem for the Warriors

But in recent days one thing has been clarified regarding the Warriors future. Owner Joe Lacob came out clearly and told The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami “We can do whatever we want (financially). And you should expect that that’s not going to be a reason this team … doesn’t stay great going forward. We have the capital to pay our players what they deserve. And we will.”

This is the clearest Lacob has been about the Warriors future spending. It’s no small feat, with the total salary and luxury tax bill potentially exceeding $300m per year for the next few years.

Today’s Forbes valuations illustrate why. The Warriors valuation is up a league-leading 367% over the last five years to $3.5bn. This is a 13% increase from $3.1bn from last year, and they remain third overall in the league. What’s more, they are now second overall in revenue at $401m ahead of one of the league’s glamor franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers, who brought in $395m in 2017/18. Despite an increase in player expenses from $119m to $147m, with an additional $32m on top of salaries and benefits as they re-entered the luxury tax, the Warriors still posted an operating income (ie pre-tax profit) of $103m.

The financial future is bright

Whatever happens off the court this summer, the Warriors financial future remains bright. They are still on their old local TV deal which will be up for renewal in the next few years. Both of the teams in front of the Warriors in the valuation index, the Knicks and the Lakers, have local TV deals paying out over $100m. The Warriors will be in for a similar, if not quite as large, bonanza soon.

The biggest factor in the Warriors off-court fortunes though remains the Chase Center, which offers huge cash-generating capabilities from Personal Seat Licenses to the income from 200 events a year. As today’s Forbes analysis identifies, look out for the Warriors to challenge the Knicks as the league’s biggest income generator once that arena opens.

On top of the reported $2bn of sponsorship deals already struck, today the Warriors announced yet another new partnership. Google Cloud joins current Chase Center Founding Partners Accenture, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Pepsi, RingCentral, United Airlines and naming rights partner Chase. “Google is one of the most innovative and iconic brands in the world,” said Warriors Owner and CEO Joe Lacob. “As the first professional sports team to partner with Google Cloud, we’re looking forward to combining our individual expertise into an overall unique and exciting fan experience for everyone attending events at Chase Center.”

Alongside enhancing the fan experience at Chase Center the Warriors, already one of the most tech-savvy and innovative organizations in the league, will work with Google Cloud to focus on ways to use analytics and machine learning capabilities to enhance decision-making and provide coaches, staff and players with more data-driven touch points than ever before. Just in case Steve Kerr and his crew needed any more help.

Between the explosion in franchise value, and the new arena and associated partnership opportunities, the Warriors are sitting pretty when it comes to their finances. Now all they have to do is convince their stars to stay.

So KD is gonna get a 5 year $250 mill deal. Klay getting $150, Dray getting his max. And Curry already got $200 mill. Dubs gonna commit 500-600 mill in salary to a bunch of 30 year olds over the next 5 years. OK.

why wouldnt they win they are winning; as an owner, and being the highest or 2nd highest revenue generating team, why wouldnt you pay them; if they stay together they could win 3 or 4 plus titles; it would be a run for the ages; and they would generate 1 billion plus a year; they already have 2 billion and the stadium aint even open yet:eek2:....

Man of all the shit that went down this season, for some reason this is the move that REALLY bugs me :smh:

The dude is 21 and has good hands. I'm thinking Marc Gasol lite. That's not bad, but you lose him and Thomas Bryant, whiff on Mitchell Robinson and sign the softest weakest Cac of the draft.

You draft a 7 foot pussy that can kind of shoot but can't protect the rim from a gnat. Its fucking stupid.
