ya I imagine these lower tier dudes opting out have the confidence to do so cuz they already have offers on the table

Shit he could have took the 30 and requested a trade Midway through the season to a contender like Gasol did. Would have entered the next season as a champion or atleast a contributing member of a contender

I don't wanna hate, but it's crazy that some of these guys that will never make the Basketball HOF are make crazy money. Many of these guys really aren't more than 5-7 million a year players.

Question: what I dont understand is why people are saying KD is out for the year; didnt Boogie come back from the same injury in less than a year?

I think the timing is less of a concern than the productivity. There is a huge possibility that Durant will be a shell of his former self... those his former self was arguably one of the best in the world, but even though he was much older, Kobe was putting up damn near 28 a game before the achilles injury...he came back putting up 17... achilles injuries are the worst for bball players man... GS really fucked him over by allowing him to go out there

That contract was literally a offer CP3 couldn't refuse :lol::lol:

True, but he shouldn't be complaining about Harden's playing style...

Zach will get you buckets. Most of them empty though. What I mean is he scores in isolation on anybody but he is a ball stopper. I like him but he will eventually learn to make basketball plays as well as get points.

If,that's I wouldnt mind him but I prefer the Cavs draft Hunter. We need all the defense we can get even though I read Bickerstaff teaches good team defense.

Oh absolutely should not have allowed him to do that; Kobe was much older though; Im not saying KD will be exactly right, but I think he can come back close to what he was...

So Horford and is representatives must be looking to end his career with a more guaranteed money math equation.

If he were to opt in to his current deal... $30 million this season and likely a 2 year $25 million or less offer after next season at age 34.

Now that he is opting out... they must be thinking he can get 4 years $60-$70 million.

Doesnt he already play for a contender? why would he opt in when he could choose where he wants to go?

When has any team gave a 33 year old big big money on a long contract?

Boston's not a contender anymore with a bunch of vets leaving.

Contracts on your last year are easier to move and even if he would be traded to a non contender, he would be a free agent next season

Doug Gottlieb basically called Kyrie Irving a crazy bitch, comparing Kyrie to a woman that loses custody her kids.

Big man getting big money on long term deals in their 30's is a rarity

Boston media been attacking Kyrie hard for the last two weeks. The bigger issue is you gave you draft a guy at number 3 the year prior in Brown and sign Hayward for 30 mil plus a season and all three play the same position. One of those three have to go

I dont blame him for wanting to leave...Brad Stevens have been getting a major pass in the media...

Report: Brad Stevens’ dedication to Gordon Hayward caused chemistry issues with Celtics

Kobe's dumb ass stayed too long in the game he got hurt( coach was to blame too) hurried back to get numbers, got hurt again and kept doing that shit in a effort to get his Jack on and "earn" his 50 mil.

Durant can get his Dirk on for 7 more years. He's a much better shooter and taller. 20 8 in his late 30's shooting at least 45% total.

GMs regretting these outlandish contracts. If a dude doesn't have the passion of a LBJ or Kobe, I wouldnt give any of them a max contract.

GM's still going give them contracts out because they don't want to lose their homegrown talent for nothing
