Sad thing about this is my nieces' husband who was in the Navy with me family disowned him and later his sister cause he didn't want the life of a coal miner (and he married a black woman) and his sister because she wanted to go to college. Majority of those he graduated school with left home because they wanted a different life and their backwards azz parents didn't like it. Him and his family haven't spoken since 1997 he was 18 at that time.

Colby Trickle, of Hays, was convicted last year of premeditated first-degree murder of Kristen Trickle. Ellis County Judge Glenn Braun sentenced him in November to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 50 years. Kansas corrections records show he's currently incarcerated at state prison in Ellsworth.

Prosecutors alleged that Colby, of Hays, "feloniously and intentionally with premeditation" shot Kristen in the head with a revolver and then lied to investigators by telling them she had taken her own life. Kristen's family denied she was ever suicidal.

Couldn't get past the cops at the boat....man fuck those cops; unless there was something else in the video, she was right, they can't just come and grab someone's kids. Have they read the court file? Have they read the court's orders? If they read the orders do they know if those orders were modified? Their response to the caller should have been that she won't release them, at this point this is a civil matter, call your lawyer.

And the remedy is to file a contempt case against her in the court with jurisdiction over the children. If the judge agrees she wrongfully kept the kids, the judge can put her on probation and allow the father extra visits to make up for mom's failure to release. In some instances the father can make an emergency petition to the court for a writ of attachment. In that case the police will be given an order from the court to go and attach (take possession of the kids) and give them to whoever the order says.....but without that order, I don't see any way they have the right to snatch someone's kids based and a got damned phone call.

A Louisiana man has been sentenced to decades in prison and physical castration after pleading guilty to raping a teenager, according to a news release from the region's district attorney.

Glenn Sullivan Sr., 54, pled guilty to four counts of second-degree rape on April 17. Authorities began investigating Sullivan in July 2022, when a young woman told the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office that Sullivan had assaulted her multiple times when she was 14. The assaults resulted in pregnancy, and a DNA test confirmed that Sullivan was the father of the child, the district attorney's office said. Sullivan had also groomed the victim and threatened her and her family to prevent her from coming forward.

"So many of these types of cases go unreported because of fear. The strength it must have taken for this young woman to tell the truth in the face of threats and adversity is truly incredible," Judicial District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux said in the news release.

A 2008 Louisiana law says that men convicted of certain rape offenses may be sentenced to chemical castration. They can also elect to be physically castrated. Perrilloux said that Sullivan's plea requires he be physically castrated. The process will be carried out by the state's Department of Corrections, according to the law, but cannot be conducted more than a week before a person's prison sentence ends. This means Sullivan wouldn't be castrated until a week before the end of his 50-year sentence — when he would be more than 100 years old.

"Sex crimes against juveniles are the most malicious crimes we prosecute," Assistant District Attorney Brad J. Cascio, who prosecuted the case, said in the release. "I intend on using every tool the legislature is willing to give us, including physical castration, to seek justice for the children in our community."

YouTuber Anthony Vella Falls 85 Feet in Paraglider Crash. Broken Neck, Back, Arm​






A YouTuber is lucky to be alive after falling 85 feet in a paraglider crash ... which left him with several broken bones, and practically paralyzed on the ground as he called for help.


Check it out ... Anthony Vella filmed himself recently enjoying a motorized paraglide ride in Texas, when something went terribly wrong -- resulting in the internet personality plummeting to the ground. Anthony screams out in pain before calling out to Siri on his phone to call 911.


2 eyewitnesses come to Anthony's aid ... assisting him in contacting first responders as well as his wife, Leandra. Anthony -- who was going about 50 mph before his fall from the sky -- was rushed to the hospital ... where he was diagnosed with a fractured neck, back, pelvis, and a broken arm. His injuries will require surgery.


Anthony's wife thanked his followers for their love and support following his crash, encouraging them to follow along with his rehabilitation efforts.


She wrote on YouTube ... "We have felt the love and support from all of you and will never be able to articulate just how much it means to him, me, and our family. Anthony is very excited to get back to his strong and active self."


As for what caused the unexpected crash ... Anthony explained he missed a small tension knot in his paraglider during a pre-flight check, which caused the aircraft to collapse.


Anthony is no stranger to high-risk activities ... often documenting his paraglider rides for his over 24K followers on YouTube. Sounds like he's not blaming the sport in and of itself.
