Alleged NYC Scammers Violent Car Crash Caught On Dashcam

A car full of alleged scammers in NYC is going viral for what appears to be an outlandish attempt at insurance fraud -- and the woman who says she was their target captured it all on dashcam.

Here's the deal ... footage posted on TikTok by Ashpia Natasha -- which has racked up 35 million views -- shows her slamming on the brakes after a car pulled in front of her on the Belt Parkway in Queens and suddenly stopped short.

After a couple of beats, the lead car reverses quickly ... slamming into the front end of Ashpia's car. The end result looks like a violent rear-ender took place.

Ashpia was on the phone with her husband the whole time, telling him she did not know what the hell was going on and was shocked ... 'cause it all happened so fast and was so insane.

She claims the 2 backseat passengers blocked their rear window with a “tarp” so the male driver could switch seats with a female passenger ... all 4 people appeared to act injured, bailed out and looked at the damage afterward.

Cops were called, but since no one seemed to actually be hurt, they did not come to the scene ... and told Ashpia to exchange info with the other driver, which she claims she did.

It was only afterward -- when she looked at the cam footage -- she realized something was super fishy about the whole thing, especially because one of the occupants -- who Ashpia claims was really the driver -- was picked up in a different car, before the others left the scene in their damaged car.

A cautionary tale, for sure!

SIMU LIUTHIS IS CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!!!But No Need To Bully Online

10/14/2024 7:09 AM PT

Simu Liu is standing firm in his decision to call out one business for cultural appropriation ... after facing off against the owners on a "Shark Tank"-esque show.
The actor, who is Chinese-Canadian, appeared on a recent episode of CBC's "Dragons' Den" ... where businesses pitch their ventures to potential investors.

He added ... "Hang on, hang on. I am quite sure about its content, but continue."
Liu was further frustrated with business owners when they claimed they were "disturbing" the boba market with their take on bubble tea ... with the actor accusing them of "cultural appropriation."
He noted ... "There’s an issue of taking something that’s very distinctly Asian in its identity and ‘making it better,’ which I have an issue with."

Frenette and Fiset later defended their partner is based out of Taiwan ... and creates their recipes.
Liu chose not to invest in the product ... noting he wants "to be a part of bringing boba to the masses, but not like this."

He continued ... "I started this venture company for a lot of reasons but really primarily to uplift minority entrepreneurs. Not only do I feel like this is not happening here, but that I would be uplifting a business that is profiting off of something that feels so dear to my cultural heritage."

It didn't take long for this exchange between Liu and the Bobba founders to go viral online ... prompting an immense amount of backlash against Frenette and Fiset.

PUT DOWN THE PITCHFORKS

Liu took to TikTok Saturday to call for the harassment to end ... saying he believed Frenette and Fiset came on the show "in good faith."
He continued ... "There were a lot of things with the pitch that I took issue with and I disagreed with and as a result, I pulled out as a potential investor but that doesn’t mean that I believe that they deserve harassment and threats. I think a lot of grace should be afforded to them."

The show expressed a similar sentiment as the controversy grew ... but "Dragons' Den" panelist Manjit Minhas -- who invested $1 million in the company for an 18% stake -- has since withdrawn her deal.
Bobba has issued an apology for their pitch on "Dragons' Den," acknowledging Liu's "very valid points."

The group is linked to a bizarre subculture where men become “nullos”, a slang term for genital nullification, by removing their penis and testicles.

Prosecutor Caroline Carberry KC said Gustavson, 46, was linked to at least 29 procedures and that there was "clear evidence of cannibalism".

The men used a variety of tools, such as clamps used for animal castration, as they netted thousands of pounds in the procedures.

Gustavson also offered to sell the severed penis of one of his victims for hundreds of pounds, with some 22,000 subscribers paying to access videos on the Eunuch Maker website with varying levels of membership from "free" to "VIP" which cost £100.
