A California man was found guilty of fatally stabbing his celebrity television attorney girlfriend with a “Rambo-style” hunting knife.
After three days of deliberation, a jury convicted 53-year-old Robert Reagan on second-degree murder charges Friday i
n the death of “Legal Diva” Loredana Nesci,
KABC reported.
In 2014, the 47-year-old victim, also a former officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, starred in the Sundance TV reality show “Loredana, Esq.,” which documented her career as an attorney as well as her personal life.
The six-episode series featured footage of the couple renovating their home and arguing over bills as well as childcare expenses, according to
Variety.

Officers on July 22, 2015, reported to the home Nesci and her boyfriend shared. They were responding to a 7:30 a.m. call from Reagan, who told them he’d been fighting with his girlfriend.
When first responders arrived, they found Nesci dead and booked Reagan on suspicion of murder — their 5-year-old son was not present at the time of her death, authorities said. Reagan had been free on bail since his 2015 arrest and was immediately taken into custody when the jury announced their guilty verdict,
CBS LA reported.
His attorney, Shepard Kopp, contended during the trial that the television star’s death was accidental and only occurred after Nesci attacked Reagan with a knife during a domestic dispute. He argued Nesci was fatally wounded as they struggled for control of the knife.
When Reagan took the stand, he explained a fight between them escalated into a physical argument and culminated with her charging at him with the large weapon.

Los Angeles County prosecutor Allyson Ostrowski countered, telling jurors that Reagan “gutted” his girlfriend with a “Rambo-style” hunting knife. Nesci’s injuries were so severe her inside looked like “Swiss cheese” and she had an abdominal wound 7 inches long, according to the
Daily Breeze.
“I think there was overwhelming evidence in the case and it was the right verdict,” Ostrowski told
People. “I am very grateful for the jury and I am glad she can rest in peace.”
The 53-year-old is facing 16 years to life in prison and is slated to be sentenced Sept. 19.
