Police have arrested the man wanted in connection to smashing a woman’s windshield and pointing a gun at her in front of her children in a viral video. NBC10’s Karen Hua has more on how the community rallied around her.
The Philadelphia Police have announced that an arrest has been made after
a woman was attacked by a dirt bike rider on Sunday, in an incident that was caught on camera.
On Wednesday afternoon, Robert Listenbee of the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office announced that 26-year-old Cody Heron of Philadelphia, has been arrested and charged in the incident.
"His violent, lawless behavior is totally unacceptable here in the City of Philadelphia," he said.
Listenbee promised that officials plan to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore detailed the case, saying that they reviewed the video and asked tips from the public earlier this week.
But, Vanore said that many of the tips that came in were incorrect as police believe Heron changed details in his social media profiles that led to false information being passed along and sent officers in an incorrect direction.
However, he said, officers were able to sort out the correct details, leading to Heron's arrest on Tuesday.
At that time Vanore claimed, police also confiscated clothes, a firearm and the motorcycle that were all seen in a viral video.
Heron has been charged with aggravated assault and related charges.
Earlier that morning, Vanore posted on social media that officials had made an arrest, thanking the public for their assistance in aiding the apprehension.
Earlier this week, Nikki Bullock, the woman whose car was damaged, spoke with
NBC10's Aaron Baskerville about the orderal, saying that she stood up to the man who damaged her car in an effort to protect her girlfriend and her two children, 5 and 2, who were in the car.

The family was out delivering food at the time.
Video shows the biker jumping on the rear window of Bullock's car before falling through her rear windshield as it shattered. He steps off the car and drops a firearm to the ground, before picking it up as she exited the vehicle.
When he pulled the firearm up to her eye level, she stood her ground, wanting to protect the children in the vehicle.
"It was just like, it was a little gun and at that point, my windshield was already broken so, what was he really going to do to me, for real?" she asked.
As can be seen in the video, when the argument got heated, the rider head-butted Bullock, using his helmet as a weapon against her face. She responded by shoving his bike to the ground.
"I'm just grateful that my kids are okay. There's not a scratch on them," she told NBC10. "It was just the simple fact that I had kids in the car. I just wanted to protect them honestly."
