She lost because:

1. She is on the wrong side of most policies
2. She switched on 80% of her previously held policies - untrustworthy
3. She is legit a stupid person
4. She can't articulate her opinions on camera. See #3 for "stupid person"

That’s a poor list of candidates. The Democratic Party has 4 years to develop a a talented candidate. I suspect they will make the same mistake as the previous 3 elections and just put in an old guard that has “waited their turn”. I suspect Gavin who will lose.

She's not used to socializing with regular folks like that and I don't mean to crap on any brothers or sisters on here papered up and doing well but alot of us when we get status like that only really socialize to certain folks on our level, I think crackers really know how to dumb themselves down to appeal to the poor but we not that good at this skill and for politicians it's a very important skill.

I really don't understand your intense hatred of gays... I'm just trying to reason with you man to man. We have different perspectives with regard to gay people but we're both straight black men and it's a fact that the LGBT population is on pace to outnumber the black population by the end of the century. That's just a fact, nothing moronic about it.

You do realize you are talking about a sexual preference and a race of people?

Indeed. We saw that when her campaign was constantly pushing the HBCU/AKA angle.

I mean that's fine, maybe Repubs did cheat.

But are you willing to give the same possibility to those who said Dems stole the last election? Or does cheating only happen one way?

Both sides see themselves as the saviors of democracy in the ultimate Good vs Evil battle.

They went to court with no evidence. That's the difference. Usually the the accusers are the ones doing it - projection.

They had 4 years to work their plan and they are relying on reactions like yours to assist them. "We don't want to look crazy like them, so let's just stand down".

I'm not standing down, nor am I for either party. My argument is that to say she lost because of cheating is the easy way out. Just like a boxer who loses a fight...nobody wants to hear you lost because you were cheated. Even if true.

That's why I made the poll. There are numerous contributing factors to the outcome. I couldn't go on listing things forever, but I put in some measurables I thought had merit.

It's an easy argument to say my side lost because of cheating, racism, sexism, homophobia. Doesn't make it any less true but accepting those as factors, let's go deeper.

America has been racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-religious tolerance since it's founding. Those are givens.

Political organizations cheating to win has occurred since Tammany Hall and prior so we could stop there for our reasoning or, assuming some amount of cheating in every election, look elsewhere for the deciding factor.

They backed her into a corner, they always do that to black folks running for positions in office, back them into the educated black spaces but they can't translate too well into the non-educated black spaces, and they struggle.

Remember Keisha Bottoms was getting lots of pushback from the streets in Atlanta, she didn't even rerun again.

She was tired of it.

I would say this, most Americans think like this...

" I make 150k a year but my 1989 Bronco runs fine and once I get a new engine it will be new again, I don't need a new car".

or

"That hot blonde doesn't like my 89 Bronco, screw her she's probably a insane liberal POC supporter".

Dumbing yourself down to appeal to the lower common dominator is a great skill to have, I don't even think harris ran a bad campain but she's in over her head due to her education, status and social network and what she's up against.

Why is it always on us? The numbers do not bear out that we make that much difference especially with millions of voting age Black folk locked up.

Because WE can and do make a difference in those swing states! Arizona and Nevada don't apply here, but think Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Those states all have sizable Black populations and/or major cities with sizable Black population that can make the difference between whether a Dem or Repub presidential candidate wins the state. If there is limited Black turnout or Black enthusiasm, then the Democratic candidate loses. Simple as that. Go look at the results of the 2024 election. Kamala lost Wisconsin and Michigan by ONE PERCENT or so each. And the other three states she lost by THREE percent or so each. That percentage lost could be made up by increasing the Black turnout.

And if we properly understood this and organized correctly, we could leverage this voting power as well.

No doubt I guess my point is in a nation of 330 million people who are overwhelmingly white, it seems convincing more whites to vote class rather than race would be the better strategy.

If whites saw themselves as workers instead of CAC and voted against elites Dems wouldn't hardly go after our vote at all. Which would be fine. Maybe then we would realize the need for our own party.

I think our political strategy should be to increase our representation in the legislature and hold them to account at the grassroots level. SC and Executive are tied together too closely.

We don't have a Warren court to rule liberally on our behalf. Legislature is where we can have more immediate influence to direct governmental change, but no branch of government is gonna save us, we have to do that at the granular, familial level.

Many whites voted on the Devil you know is better than the devil you don't principle. The rest are just racists/classist who see America as a zero sum game.

They know Repubs are upfront liars and accept that as better than those who lie about being honest.
