It's cliche but I do believe deep down, people vote based on their wallets. No matter who is at fault, getting what used to be 100 bucks of groceries for 250 bucks now affects pretty much all. Whomever is in office gets the blame no matter who the blame really belongs to. Some of the bullshit that trump threw out which may never come to fruition (no tax on tips, no tax on ss...etc) could have resonated with a few folk.

That I also personally believe some fuckery was afoot with the voting numbers. trump complains about voting being rigged and hacked so much, history shows that trump is almost always projecting and...he has been caught trying to manipulate the vote before. I'm curious what his private conversations with putin over the last few months have been about.

And finally there is some racism/sexism mixed in. Here in NC, Robinson lost convincingly running for governor but trump won on the same ballot...Ironic that trump is just as if not more slimy and problematic than Robinson ever was.

Edited to add...It should have never got to this. He should be sitting in the commissary of some prison. Merrick Garland was an awful choice.

Here is some very loose math I did:
  • There are approximately 110 million white women in the U.S. not sure what percent actually vote but in this scenario, I will assume 100% for simplicity.
  • Nearly 70% of them reportedly voted for Donald Trump.
  • This means around 77 million white women supported Trump (70% of 110M).
  1. Breakdown by Party Affiliation:
    • Of these 110 million white women, 52 million identify as Democrats.
    • Assuming all 58 million white Republican women voted for Trump, that accounts for 58 million of the 77 million votes.
    • This leaves around 19 million white Democratic women who also voted for Trump (77M total Trump votes - 58M Republican women = 19M Democratic women).
  2. Black Women:
    • The Black population is approximately 41 million.
    • Assuming half are women although could be more, that’s around 21 million (rounding) Black women.
    • If 90% of Black women voted for Kamala Harris, that means about 18 million Black women voted for her.
  3. Comparison of Voting Impact:
    • In this scenario, the 19 million or 37% of white Democratic women who voted for Trump offsets the 18 million or 90% of Black women who voted for Kamala Harris.
This comparison suggests that white Democratic women can’t be trusted. Stop shaking there hands and attending there women empowerment functions. They birth, raise, and support these white predators, narcissists, etc.

I've been saying for months that white women were not going to vote for Kamala. Black folks are just way too nice and seek acceptance. Time and time again, we have been tasks with doing the heavy lifting for groups thinking we are "allies". Sojourner Truth got done dirty by white feminists. BLACK FOLKS fought for the civil rights that all of these groups enjoy today. There are hours and hours of footage of Black folks being sprayed by Fire hoses, beaten in the street, and walking during boycotts for the rights of everybody. Who are impactful historic Civil Rights activists that aren't Black? Mexicans tout Cezar Chavez as a Civil Rights leader, but he was a LABOR leader. We fought for "affirmative action" and white women were the main beneficiaries. Kamala Harris ran for President and told us that she would not do anything specifically for us but her platform is fighting for issues that specifically impact LBGTQ, Trans, and Isreal. These people are not our allies. We need to stop getting so emotionally involved in THEIR issues and focus on our own. Reperations has been discussed for years. The "studies" have been conducted. We have spend hundreds of Billions on Ukraine and Isreal. We were able to print Trillions of dollars for Covid. We need to demand that our needs are met.

Man shawty skipped consoling her ppl after the lost. That is wild. I have never seen that before. Imagine being one them folks holding signs in the cold or telling ppl to vote Harris, taking time off work standing in the street with Harris signs, and she didn’t even come out to at least console em. I’d be pissed.

I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Hindu.

This wasn't an unpopular opinion because most people were agreeing with him so no COVID was not the reason
Americans’ views of China have continued to sour, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Today, 73% of U.S. adults say they have an unfavorable view of the country, up 26 percentage points since 2018. Since March alone, negative views of China have increased 7 points, and there is a widespread sense that China mishandled the initial outbreak and subsequent spread of COVID-19.

Around two-thirds of Americans (64%) say China has done a bad job dealing with the coronavirus outbreak

You don't remember how pissed of Liberals were for Trump calling Covid the "China virus"? You don't remember all of the debating and arguing over wearing masks? You don't remember all of the arguing and debating over business and school closures? You don't remember all of the arguing and debating over vaccinations? You don't remember all of the speculation about how bad Trump's health was during Covid? Covid was the central issue during the 2020 election and Trump lost alot of votes over it.

For someone who says he's not a Republican seems all your negativity is directed at Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party in general. Where is your inciteful takedown of a Republican Party that since the 60's has historically and blatantly been against every legislative initiative aimed at improving the lives of minorities. I agree the Democratic Party could have, and should have, done more but the other party is so much worse and in a two-party system the choice should be obvious as to which one should be supported with your vote.

For all those black and brown naysayers who just bitched and complained about the Democrats, or chose to just sit it out, or in some cases actually supported a 99% white Republican/MAGA party that will for the next two to four years control all three branches of government, it will become crystal clear in the very near future whether they made a mistake or not. :hmm:

See my posting history:

I've hated both sides equally, but I have been more outspoken about the Dems over the last few years as they dangle a carrot to our noses.
I don't mind seeing the system burn and crumble if it means rebuilding it fairly for my people.

The main reason Democrats have not been able to deliver on many of their initiatives, or what you call "carrots", is because they get stymied by a Republican controlled House and a Senate that is essentially stalemated because of the arcane filibuster rule. Voting in sufficient numbers during the midterms as well as the general to take control of the House, Senate and local legislatures is the key to passage of desirable legislation that benefits us. Unfortunately, way too many of us just get up for the Presidential election and don't vote during the midterms. The old saying "all politics is local" is as true today as it was 50 years ago. We, to a great degree, have yet to learn that and instead just gripe when things we'd like to get done don't, not realizing the party in control calls the shots.

This victory reminds me of the significance of “Do for Self” movements. With a degree in African American Studies, I’ve studied movements that trace back to figures like Prince Hall and David Walker’s Appeal. Moments like this deepen my appreciation for the struggles and various movements that have shaped history. When someone like Trump rises to power, it underscores that the Nation of Islam’s philosophy, especially its emphasis on economic self-sufficiency wasn’t so far-fetched. Garvey wasn’t misguided, and neither was Booker T. Washington. Their ideas, once considered radical, hold even greater relevance today.

Now you're looking at 2 terms of a President Vance.

They better run Gavin, Shapiro or Wes Moore.

It will take a young MAN, most likely but not necessarily white, to beat him after 4 years of White House experience.

DEMS have pigeonholed themselves. Now running a white man will be seen as non progressive. But they likely need a white male face to win and institute their policies.

America ain't mature enough to elect a fully Black person. They're scared of what we would do with executive power once in office. Makes them uncomfortable even if they can't vocalize it. Deep down inside it hurt them that Obama achieved something they never could.

This was a colossal fuckup that started years ago. The public was made aware when Biden flubbed the debate. Dems were in scramble mode ever since.

Everything they had after defeating Trump is now gone. Executive. Congress. State and local. People gave them power a d didn't like what they did with it.

They have no choice but to move toward the center now. AOC and all that progressive stuff will get shut down within the party.

In the interest of Chaos I am intrigued how and if Project 2025 is a real thing. Four years from now WILL Trump really leave?

Shows like TYT and Bill Maher did NOT help Democrats. Platforming conservative voices with very little to no push back. Stating that they would write in Bernie Sanders and then praising their listeners who would do the same. Politicians and the shows like them eat their own. The talk of Biden losing, Biden should have stepped down, he's too old, etc... Only to give Kamala like 4months to win a Presidency that Trump has been running for the last 4YEARS!!! Faux News and the further right ones fall in line. Megan Kelley, Tucker Carlson and those like them fell in line. That doesn't happen on the left.

I still stand by my belief that we (black people) aren't going to get what we need until we get our own SuperPAC and start buying our own politicians Democrats and Republicans.

The right have an online machine built that is pumping pro Trump/Pro right wing propaganda on a daily basis.

On the left, the online game is about shitting on the Democrats. Most if not all are progressives, and progressives hate Dems more then they hate the right. The war in Gaza only made the divide much wider. Overall, online at least, the people with the biggest mics all hate the Dems. The party who considers itself a coalition can't survive that way, and didn't.

The Left as a whole has to reinvent itself. Maybe the Progressives need their own party. Maybe old school liberalism needs to come back to the Dems so they can have an identity again. I don't know but this iteration of the party is dead.

I don't see Democrats winning ANYTHING for awhile! States like Michigan that are pretty blue to begin with, but this is a new world order. We live in a world where crazy is the new normal, this was inevitable. A Kamala win stayed that off somewhat, Trumpism is the new Republican party. The "when they go low..." politics doesn't work anymore. Gavin, Shapiro, etc...it doesn't matter. "They're eating the dogs" and people still voted for them. They dressed their kids up as them for Halloween.

The system didn't burn. The Republicans are just in control of it. This destroy and rebuild shit is fantasy. Whatever the Republicans will do with the reins won't about fairness for you and yours.

I think they will run Gavin who is another bad choice. He has too much dirt on him and California is looked down upon across the US of late. They need to develop a fresh new moderate candidate rather than force another old guard candidate.

White women and girls. Mostly college educated like before. As much as hoes chant that girl power bullshit white women still hate black women.

Comes down to white women again. There's an arguement for latinos as well. This is the most important election due to the probable cause of more supreme court justices being appointed and the house and senate both being republican controlled.

This fact made my wifey blood boil whenever she engages with Caucasian bitches.

I suppose blaming us black men voting is par for course. Not today DEVIL!
