Even knowing what was about to go down from the leak, it was still difficult to see Raina pay for her brother's stupidity.

Kanan nice with the knife. I mean god damn.

Get it together Tommy. Stop snorting your own supply.

Now for episode criticism... No child as smart as Raina, who hasn't shown bad judgement in the past would have confronted a dirty cop/criminal in such a way - probably not at all. Poor writing and setup strikes again. I hope they find a way to improve next season. The issues with writing are glaring.

It's not the writing per say it's the execution of the scenes... but again Ghost kids are privileged so I wouldn't expect Raina to have street smarts that's the issue so it's totally believeable she would confront the dirty fake cop to protect her brother.

I think I missed something. What did Angie say to ol' girl to make her change her mind about promoting her?

ya man

ya dope scene

sorry...little sisters are just as protective of their big brothers as their big brothers are of them...totally plausible...esp. when you take into account she's still a child and will not always make perfect decisions ESP. when under duress and seeing this guy harass her brother...her 12 y/o logic went out the window

They were twins which makes the connection even stronger.

Ghost is off the hook. I Guess Angela will go after Tommy now.
I doubt it. Hopefully they create a new storyline for the next season. This Angela going after ghost/tommy back and forth and ghost being conflicted when she does bullshit is getting old and very soap opera-ish at this point. All this motherfuckers in their feelings shit isn't really cool. My bet is, she somehow gets involved with the ghost/stern/Tate dynamic

Decent episode, but c'mon man. How realistic was it for Ghost to be in the room w/ Sax, Mock, Angela and everybody else all at the same time, just wondering around being cool. These muthafuckas damn near had him on death row (for a crime Sandoval committed BTW) and now they're sipping champagne together?

And as an added bonus: WTF Terry Silver? I wonder how hard it is for Tasha to do a scene w/ a gay guy. Seems like kissing/intimacy would be a major obstacle.

Lastly, shocked they showed Raina getting killed like that. Killing kids is VERY taboo and you rarely see the act itself (mostly just the scene afterward). Matta fact, I don't know if I've ever seen a movie/show where a kid was actually killed on screen. It's just something that doesn't happen. Extremely shocked they included that.

What you mean how real? Ghost was acquitted plus he parlayed into real estate to change his image from night club owner.. perfectly believeable

great ep...some interesting storylines heading into the finale that will def bleed into next season...tommy getting direction from his pops gonna be something

Not just direction, but a family and a "family".....with his pops connections he's gonna have juice

It fit in perfectly for me. It wasn't bad judgment, it was naivete. She doesn't know shit about the street...and had no idea about how deep shit really is, like drug dealing and murder being commonplace in her fam. Tariq knows better....but saying, "I know who you are Ray Ray" showed just how innocent she was...like she was confronting the school bully.

All she cared about was protecting her brother.

It's all in the game. Nothing personal especially since they got Mike.

they shoot in winter

Plus, the timeline of the events of each season happen within days of each other.

The first episode of each new season usually picks up on the same fictional day as the season finale of the previous season.

The first day Angie walked in the club in Season 1 to the day Ghost got out of jail this season was probably fictionally like 3 months, tops.

Her getting killed will play a major factor with everyone's plans. This should effect everything!
- Dre is way in over his head. The failed attempt on Kanan will be his downfall. He put Tariq in this shit from jump. So Raina or however it's spelled death is on his hands.
-Tommy is not great under pressure at all. That's why you can't have a wildcard running the "business." But, with Tasha and Ghost out the frame he needed to find another "family" for support.
- I knew from jump that O-Dog's ass was corrupt. The day he brought Dre to the meet solidified it for me.
- It's funny how Tasha all of a sudden wants to be legit. She gave Ghost shit for trying to do exactly that. She can't make that transition with no consequences. She think she riding easy street but sorry.......lol.
- Angela coming out with the win doesn't sit right with me at all! She always has that conniving look on her face that pisses me the fuck off. I wonder who her next target will be. Like I said with Tommy, you can't have a wildcard running the show.
-Tariq is a dumbass kid in his feelings who was manipulated left and right. As pissed as I am about what happened I can't 100% blame him. He is book smart but nowhere near street smart. Sucks his sister had to pay for the sins of everyone not just Tariq.

good episode. One of the best this season. But of course, i got two gripes.
What kind of fucking ambush on 50 was that? One dude coming down the stairs in plain sight, the other standing right behind the fucking door. C'mon. And you send two people?
Second, if dude wanted to kill Tariq, why not just shoot from afar? You get all up on him and then he dips on you? Just shoot the kid from a distance, you're a fucking cop

Other than that, good episode. I was gonna say something about the principal bringing the cop to the class to question Raina in front of everyone, instead of calling her to the office, but then i remembered how the principal dislikes the family.

Everybody's blaming Tariq, but it's everybody's fault really.

Of course if Ghost had killed Kanan in the first place, none of this would've happened.

Dre and Tommy also played a part.

But Tasha is also at blame here, too.

What the fuck has she been doing the whole time?

Your son gets kidnapped TWICE, and you don't do shit? Any good mother I know would have an eagle eye on ALL her children after that happens once, let alone twice.

She didn't go the thing with Ghost, or the school dance with the kids, she wanted to go see the pillow biter.

If she was so scared for her kids, why she didn't follow Tariq like she followed Ghost to find out he was with Angie. Why didn't she use that same energy to protect her kids?

Nah, she tells Raina to do HER fucking job.

You knowin' your son hanging around suspect niggas, and you tell your daughter to go right with him, like she can do something about it? Tasha instilled in Raina that power and responsibility and it got her killed because she can't do shit besides say "I'mma tell my daddy."

Tasha supposed to know her way with a pistol and shit and be this cold-hearted, weed-smoking gangsta bitch on the low. She'll be all that for the money, but she won't be that for the kids?

She's so busy out here having mimosas, shiatsu seaweed wraps, getting DOOKIE DICK and having a pre-divorce celebration, she can't watch over her kids.

What she gone do now? She gone leave the nigga after their daughter died? Can you get child support for a dead child?

How's that shit gonna affect his real estate business when it comes out on the news that it was his daughter who got murked?

Tariq is a certified bitch. How in fuck do you watch that shit and say or do nothing. He didn't cry, call 911 or anything. Just looked dumb watching his sister bleed out.

He is a young kid who had been traumatized and was in shock. I've seen and heard of adults freeze up in similar circumstances.
