So is the next episode the last one of the series? I saw it was listed as a "mid-season finale". So does that mean its only halfway through?

Tasha is the damn worst. I’m sorry. Kisha, who clearly was never the street savvy block girl that Tasha was/is just wanted to run her lil weave shop; raise her kid, and be a friend. Tasha used her shit to launder money, took complete advantage of the friendship , and then ends up killing her? Man WTF? I get that Kisha wanted that lavish life once she got a taste of it but she just wanted what her homegirl, her ace, had the whole time and flaunted in her face. And for her troubles she gets killed. Fucked up. Tasha has now ruined her “friends” sons life and is ruining her sons too.
The seasons are usually 10 episodes. Instead of the 10th episode being the finale this season, it's going to be the "mid-season finale" because there's going to be 5 more episodes in January.
So there's going to be an episode 9 next week, then the week after that, episode 10 is going to end on a cliffhanger, which will set-up the final 5 episodes in January.

It's funny because the episode prompted a conversation about how people who are into illegal practices still buy homes and cars but how they hide their money and use other means to cover for it
I do wonder what would have happened if Tommy would have walked through the door seeing her bags packed how would he have reacted

I'm seeing some type of huge twist. Not sure what right now, but it's going to be some small detail that everyone has played past, and it will be really important like a fucking Saw movie. Muthafucka gonna be talking and then the flashbacks start while they're talking showing that small detail that's been constantly affecting shit and how one character has been maneuvering the entire time.
When Tommy picked up her son and said “she’s gonna be thinking about other things tonight” I thought he had found out she was about to go with the Feds until he started looking at rings.
The setup for that whole Lala signing those papers was bad writing though, how can child protective services just roll up and take the kid out of nowhere, didn’t say anything about someone calling in about neglect and then the female cop was talking about arresting Lala if she didn’t sign, arrest her FOR WHAT??
Man I know you don’t think these writers are clever enough to pull off a SAW type twist. I think everyone saw Lala getting killed because they did the whole “give the side character some major lines to build them up then kill them” move, they also seriously overdid the Proctor killing, he was a scared lawyer and they gave him a gangster type killing complete with a “this ain’t fucking over” death line

I think she'll be the wild card no one sees coming that will wrap this whole thing up nicely. Either this chick is a relative of someone that got taken down looking for revenge or she's got an inside track to law enforcement. Either way if there's a hidden hand, its her.
