170 Republicans voted yes, 196 Democrats voted yes. 34 Republicans voted no. A total of
ZERO Democrats voted no. Dems saved Republicans here.
NO DEBT CEILING -- House Republicans weren't at ALL moved by Trump's demands to lift the borrowing cap. Trump effectively asked for one thing. he didnt get it.

Musk has been trying to reshape the US in his image. From Starlink to SpaceX to Tesla, Booring Co. and twitter, buying a president and now an "advisory" role in federal govt that screams all kinds of conflicts of interests. Hes making strides to have a decided outsized influence on the country. The richest man in the world feels like he should control the only superpower in the world.
People are taking what he's doing too lightly.

Prediction... That white nationalist fuck is gonna run for governor of a red state in the next five years. It'll be where he can make and influence policy in real ways and conduct his social/technological experiments and implement them on a controlled large scale. He's already doing that but it's as an outsider... As governor he can control policy in his state in a direct way.

Musk isn't like other billionaires who pull strings behind the scenes....like Buffett or Gates or even Bezos...this fucker wants everyone to see what he's doing.
As I keep stating also there is a lot of Republicans do not like that, dude. The shit he tried to pull with Congress, almost blew up on everybody. I don’t think the Republican is gonna pull up with this for the next few years with Trump and Elon bullshit something has to give. In other words, Trump and Elon showed their hands a little too early.

you guys dont get it... trump is back because those same republicans brought him back. As we type the shutdown debacle is being spun as a win for musk/trump. They got them to whittle down much of the spending and set asides that was in the negotiated bill. The sheer fact that they were able to jam it up in the first place speaks volumes on the level of influence they have.
If musk ran for governor of say Texas....yall really think he wouldn't get votes or he'd see significant push back???
There is a lot of Republicans do not like Elon. And right now with some of the stuff they are hearing what he is doing. They really not like him. Trump has to play footsie with him because he basically gave him two or $300 million but still something gonna have to give soon.
Theres republicans that dont like trump...still voted for him. Im pretty sure musk will get push back but we will see how it goes...

Mr. Musk has mocked the Air Force, writing on his social media platform late last month that “some idiots are still building manned fighter jets like the F-35,” below an image of hundreds of Chinese drones moving in a coordinated way across the sky.
Mr. Musk’s suggestion that this approach was obsolete was bluntly rejected this week by two senior leaders at Edwards Air Force Base in California. This is the location where Air Force pilots are trained and new planes and software tools are tested, including one that is using an A.I.-powered piloting system that allows the plane to fly and make decisions on its own.
“There may be some day we can completely rely on robotified warfare,” said Brig. Gen. Douglas P. Wickert, the commander at Edwards. His comments came during a discussion on Thursday with Pentagon reporters about the perceived military threat from China and the work that the Air Force is doing to prepare. “I think it is centuries away,” he said.
The Air Force is moving to build and buy its first generation of these robotic fighter jets, which will cost about $30 million each, compared with about $80 million for an F-35.
