If it were up to you, which would you choose: The blackberry storm or the Samsung Omnia, They are vertually the same but i wanna hear what you guys think. I find it funny that I barely hear about the Samsung phone but it seems like a good touchscreen phone especially with the Wi Fi (which The storm doesnt have) and with Windows mobile.
So lemme know what you think and why or why not a particular phone.

If you have used a BB before and type fast. You will not like the storm. Screen does not click fast enough. But, if you type slow you will love it.

what's wrong with windows mobile? doesnt it give you the option to sync and edit files on the go? What makes Blackberry's OS better?

Omina looks pretty sweet to me. But I'm a geek like that... fascinated by buttons and shit. I'm not sure what you want in a phone DeeWaYne but if you gotta have wifi, Omnia looks like it will get it done.

Nothing. It's not perfect but I have yet to see any OS that even gets close to perfect. Every one of these OS's will lock up or kick you out of you application due to an unhandled exception error.

Everything else is the apps that run on top. Unless you plan to do some coding, which most people are not, just deal with what you need the feature set for.

Alright, I'll be the asshole that suggests going with at&t and the iPhone. Just get the real deal instead of all the imitators that are trying to play catch-up. Unless you have to have a video camera feature on your phone, what are you giving up by going with the iPhone? Shit just the free apps and the best touchscreen operation out there would be reason enough:yes::yes::yes::yes:

The problem is ATT sucks. Dropped calls don't get it for me. So I dropped them and landed at Verizon. No dropped calls for me. None. And since ATT OWNS the iPhone, for me it's a non issue.

Can't get iPhone on a reliable network so its pretty dumb to talk about getting one if you don't use ATT.

Bro you have no idea what you're talking about. You can type fast as fuck on the Storm if you know how to type. I can type as fast on it as I can on my old Env. Also you need to change your key rate or how fast you can click it. If you go to www.crackberry.com and read up on what options you need to change it really changes the phone. Heck I've changed my resolution and text size to make my browsing experience even more better. Also you need to do the updates on the phone. There is 1 official with like 4 unofficial which really tweak the phone.

Thank you!

I keep telling people to quit worrying about issues that can be fixed with software. When the Storm was released it had issues with typing as well as scrolling. Software update fixed it.

I always hear that "at&t sucks/Verizon is great bullshit. I've been in construction/engineering for the largest telecom company for over 10 years now, and one of the more common jobs is to push fiber optic cable or T1/HDSL hi-cap circuits to cell sites to connect them to the landline network. Most companies nowadays share cell sites, meaning that while at&t or Verizon or T-mobile or whoever owns a cell site, they lease out the use of that site to other companies! So in most cases, all of their service is the same!!! Now, you may have had bad luck with at&t, but more than likely it wasn't the network, it was a shitty handset that you had. My point is in the vast majority of locations, the service between most carriers is identical, and "we're better than them" is marketing BULLSHIT!!!

Besides, what good does "great"()service on a 2nd rate phone do you? I'd rather have "great" service on a great phone.......Just my opinion though, Fam. Do what works for you....

I just got an Omnia. The features on the phone are crazy. I haven't tried out everything, but it's a bit annoying to text with. It seems like it's more suited for a female b/c that touch screen text is a bitch to get the letters right. There are other text features that you can use with it, but it seems like texting is going to be a hassle so far....

Anyone else got it, that can lend some advice. I'm on youtube looking for tips and tricks.. Peace.

I test drove both but settled on the curve, lol. Anyway, the Omina is a windows mobile phone (which I hate) but is pretty slick in it presentation. It can do all the shit you want with it, but the texting and touchscreen is not all that great. (iphone fuck people up with that patent...except palm pre huh? we'll see) Plus wifi which is damn near impossible on vzw is available so that is a big bonus.

The Storm is like all BB except the fact of click touchscreen. That shit IMO is annoying and a pain. Beside that it is a little faster than the old curve and is compared to the new Bold and 8900 curve in terms of the new OS. (Which VZW will be getting one of the two in a couple of months, so hold fast)

So it all depends on what you like as far a touchscreen response.

Yea the text thing is def annoying, but fuck it.. I figure I'm going to try it for another day and if it's too much of a problem, I'm going to change it with the Samsung Saga instead...
