RIP sir. A legend. One of the the guys that was great off the court. I knew about the hospital but didn’t know that he CONTINUED trying to uplift folks all while not getting the support he thought he’d get from his peers. Also didn’t know how smart he was. He was pre med in college and also spoke fluent Spanish, French and 5 African languages.
Heart of gold it sounds like.
As a b ball fan he also personified DEFENSE. Like so many greats in that era he played center so damn well and never gave up. Now days defense is like an afterthought. And he could run the damn floor as well. Gonna miss this man.
