I can't be a hypocrite now that he's passed. In my opinion Joe Madison was an intelligent but bad-tempered curmudgeon.
I tried many times to listen to his show to get a black perspective on issues and events but I usually switched off after five or ten minutes because I just couldn't take his rude unnecessary unwarranted unfair berating of callers who he seemed to forget made it possible for him to even have a radio program. I used to wonder if he was as mean to people off the air as he was many times on it. That said I feel for his family as I would for any family who has lost a loved one.

Same here. I liked his views but dude NEVER let people speak. He cut people off mid sentence even when he agreed with them. I used to cut it off too after a while. It’s honestly why I stopped listening to Tom Hartman. He’s a fucking 70 year old white guy that lives around no person of color. It’s pandering and patronizing. None of those fucking people care about us our issues. If you’re out in the streets, folks ain’t blasting no Tom Hartman or Rachel Maddow.
There’s a scene from the movie Rosewood where the father had to remind the Jon Voight character that he knew what Voight was doing with his daughter. Most of our people are suffering are debating about giving tax cuts to the rich isn’t really an issue most of us care to discuss since it’s a conversation that doesn’t pertain to us.
Everyone that called in wasn't a crackpot. They could be making a clear and coherent point and he'd cut them off mid sentence, or talk over them. Shit was annoying and frustrating as fuck. I don't want to be tearing down his life with my opinions, this is the last thing I'll say about his style of broadcasting, once again, rest in peace Joe, thank you for your service and dedication to black people.
Thom Hartmann has at least empathy for black folks and speaks up about racism and the roots of white supremacy all the time. He actually keeps it on the forefront of his show. Everything in American law, politics and culture ultimately was sculpted by the hands of white supremacy. Thom says that daily.

I would turn him off on many occasions for his unsolicited rants on people who meant well.
However i still had to listen because he said things and provided perspectives that were beyond relevant.
Now...... In the mornings i reach for my radio to switch it to his channel and stop ... Because I know
Madison Classics is what is playing and its mostly interviews.
As a Podcaster/Vlogger he was an inspiration to me and my work.
Because of this man, I am compelled to ask myself "What are you Going to do about it?"
In honor of Joe Madison "The Black Eagle" I Pledge to Carry on the torch on my shows of
"Putting it Where the Goats can get it."
Rest With the Ancestors, knowing that your time here was well spent and it was a Job well done.

You can get the car and app for $8.00 a month. I was paying that before I cancelled last month because of the app update, but now they changed the app back and I am using a 3-month trial from Best Buy.
So they changed the app back after the old version before the update.
What I did was find the last update before the change and installed it.
The update was useless and hard to maneuver around with it.
I guess I can go back to the latest version now.

Not quite exactly, but they brought back most of the features. The fast-forward and rewinding 15 seconds is back, but the playlist and favorite is different.So they changed the app back after the old version before the update.

Yeah man, I'm sure they got a shit ton of negative feedback when they did the upgrade. teh best thing is you can go back 6 hours with no problem and if you're trying to catch up it doesn't skip to the live in the middle of your feed. Other than that, they should've left the 15 seconds alone. They need to bring back the segmenting though. Because it was easier to skip to your favorite segment of the show and skip past commercials and shit.
In my opinion, the reason they got rid of the 15-second skip was to force you to listen to live commercial reads, and that is the very reason why I canceled the subscription. I think a lot of people complained and also canceled their subscription and they were forced to bring back the 15 second skip.
