R.I.P Roy Ayers

Damn this one hits hard. Never met him, but I used to hang out with some of his players in Vancouver.

He gained longevity by constantly innovating and collaborating with younger musicians. It's the main reason my old ass still plays for teenagers. I wish more elders would take on that example instead of talking shit about so called "mumble rap" and the like.

If I ever sneak my way into heaven I'm looking forward to hearing a collaboration with Roy, Sibel Thrasher, and Juice Wrld.
