Gotta stop being relaxed around non black people. I've seen it too many times. Some random non black person, riding their bike or walking to a poor black area, that they've avoided their entire lives. Yet the black folks in the area seem pacified, and pay them little attn.
A lot has to do with proximity. As we tend to profile our own, first, cause usually, when some American is a victim of a crime, it tends to be via the people that they live around. Others just profile other Blacks cause they've been conditioned to profile their own. But fuk all that, start profiling all these non black randoms, that just pop up, around black areas. Its not about being paranoid, it's about being smart and safe.
If u lived in poor Black areas, u usually know what it is with our criminals. They're mainly going after their rivals. But these white folks, and their close Cousins , too unpredictable. Stay safe.
