I'm sorry I watched that. It made my chest hurt to watch how calmly and quickly he took these people's lives.
Generally, I'm against capital punishment but he needs to be boiled alive and what's left pulverized and fed to hogs.

I really, really, really cannot express how much I hate begrudgingly agreeing with this, in essence.
After living abroad for a while, I remember taking Amtrak to get back home after leaving O'hare.
Three things hit me, right there in Chicago Union, like a lightning bolt out of a clear blue sky.
1.We are gluttonous. I mean that is the most biblical sense possible.
2. We will eat a broke dick dog's anus if it is deep fried and sweetened with high fructose corn syrup.
3. We are violent. We are among the most, if not the most aggressive, violent people on Planet Earth.
I hate that I can buy an assault rifle at the local pawn shop without even a background check.
But as the cop who approved my permit to purchase a hand gun said to me, "if you live in Detroit, you better have one".
Sad. This is why my passport is just as important as my birth certificate to me. More important, as it is more cumbersome to replace.

I don't disagree with you but everything you mentioned exists in pretty much every country of the world. Look at the cuisine in many Asian countries and the violence in S. America and the Middle East.
There really is very few places you can go to escape what you're trying to escape. The least violent countries are in western Europe and places like Japan but they have their own problems such as racism.

The gun laws were never about keeping them out of the hands of criminals. See the Mulford Act or even before that the desire for higher caliber weapons by police to deal with Negro Cocaine Fiends.
It is counterintuitive but if we want fewer guns out there in the hands of cacs, we need to openly and publicly arm ourselves as history shows that comprehensive legislation will quickly follow. This is the same country that destroyed public swimming pools to prevent them from being desegregated so we know already that it will work...
I'm pretty sure he was talking about me, but I'm not sorry. You can't decouple politics from this when part of the reasoning given by the shooter, such as white replacement theory and a fear/hate for blacks and latinos, is part of the rhetoric used to attract votes for the GOP. That stuff doesn't happen in a vacuum, it's all related. I don't even know if Tucker Carlson and the rest actually believe it or are just using it to whip up their base, but it is driving their politics and the actions of their base so I don't feel it should be ignored and dismissed as inconsequential.
