Thing is they are robbing these dudes for this stuff that in a lot of cases is crappy jewelry (ie cloudy stones, a million diamond chips that give the illusion of bigger stones, plated metals). Last company that I worked for was owned by Orthodox Jews, one of the owners was also involved in the diamond business in NYC. We were talking one day & dude was saying that most of the rappers stuff was crap & they were getting ripped off. Wearing fake watches also, some just for show & others just sold fakes outright because they have no idea what to look for.
