This has to be one of the coolest shot ever taken! In the mid-2000s @prince threw a series of afterparties at his Los Angeles home. Here, Prince watches Stevie Wonder jam while @officiallymcconaughey is feelin’ it all over!

We Think, so We'll Know

I remember going to "The Vermont Drive In" in LA in my Grandfather's 72 Eldorado.

My girlfriend and I hit the snack bar before the movie. We're just chillin' in the front sit (long ass bench seat too). I'm playing with her titties etc... Next thing I know, she done came out of them pants. There was no transmission humps in the ElDawgs, so you have room for days.

These kids today don't know what they're missing. I bet many a boy became a man at a Drive In...

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

Single shots like this require planning. The first step is to realize that such an amazing triple-alignment actually takes place. The second step is to find the best location to photograph it. But it was the third step: being there at exactly the right time -- and when the sky was clear -- that was the hardest.

Five times over six years the photographer tried and found bad weather. Finally, just ten days ago, the weather was perfect, and a photographic dream was realized.

Taken in Piemonte, Italy, the cathedral in the foreground is the Basilica of Superga, the mountain in the middle is Monviso, and, well, you know which moon is in the background.

Here, even though the setting Moon was captured in a crescent phase, the exposure was long enough for doubly reflected Earthlight, called the da Vinci glow, to illuminate the entire top of the Moon.

In World War II all-black tank battalion Robert Andry learned fear and triumph

Saying the Rosary, heading into battle, Cpl. Robert Curtis Andry crouched in the turret of the M-4 Sherman on Nov. 19, 1944, as the 761st Tank Battalion — one of Gen. George S. Patton’s all-black regiments — rolled toward Morville, France.

Little more than a year earlier, Andry had been in high school in far-away Alabama, in the Chastang community north of Mobile, attending St. Peter the Apostle Church, fishing for bream in the Mobile River. Then the draft notice had arrived.

That November morning, manning the 75 mm tank gun, he was a U.S. Army combatant facing the Germans.

The engagement began — he fired at targets, each blast shaking his turret — and could not hear the shell hurtling toward his tank.
