Aaron Pierre, whose character has thousands in cash taken from him by police, says the film highlights a real issue.
They held back alot on the character. Fight scences was blah and he didn't kill anyone. The end sucked and the story line didn't really make sense.
It's crazy when that show had so much potential.
I Think "Django" was the first time he played that type of role...then "Watchmen"

I don't think the target audience at least on here wanted or needed all that "realism".
Reacher is basically a superhero and no one gives a damn. Bourne, Wick, Rambo and even the equalizer either.
I really wouldn't have minded a new 2024 black version
it's not like THIS movie was hyper realistic either.
All that being said I still enjoyed it.

I didn't see a trailer or anything so I hopped straight into the movie. I was pleasantly surprised.
I thought it was dope he whooped all these CAC's ass without actually hitting them most of the movie. They got guns and he got his hands.
It's some things I'd tweak here and there if I wanted to see something that I'd like more...first thing is the run time. I Think it would've been a better film more compact in 1 hour and 30 minutes. But I have no complaints.

I liked it too. And all your points are solid.
But for me it was lacking. I already broke it down why it missed for me.
But the lead is great. His look, his delivery of those lines was really good. Been a long time since I smiled like that from a bad ass brother making a white man tremble. Felt like the first Blade. Or Passenger 57.
I didn't FEEL anything for the most part.
The only moment I jumped was when he boots went on fire
If he can break one arm? He can break 10. If he can suplex one? Then do 5. Start snapping fingers. Breaking ribs, teeth and ankles, knees... all less lethal.

I mean see that part is what makes it different but I get what you're saying. I get all the complaints people have. It could've went harder. I went in expecting nothing so maybe that's why I came out a little more positive on it then some.

Yeah easily could've been 1 hour 30 minutes though I don't even know why it was 2 hours. Think it may have been the slow build up. It hits you out the gate hard and fast then slowed down soon as he gets hit on that bike.
