▫️$20 Endless Shrimp cost it $11m but the interesting part is that one of the chain’s owners is Thai seafood firm Thai Union (which also owns Chicken By The Sea) and it may have used Endless shrimp to dump its own shrimp supply through the 578 restaurants in North America
▫️Thai Union became the only Red Lobster shrimp vendor, overcharging for shrimp and skipping quality reviews (Thai Union has written off its $500m+ investment)
▫️Red Lobster has had 5 CEO in the last 5 years (!!!)
▫️Sales down 30% since 2019

You know, I just realize that Darden don’t own red lobster anymore, and it went from bad to worse with the other two companies who took over red lobster.

How a global seafood giant broke Red Lobster

When seafood conglomerate Thai Union Group became Red Lobster’s leading shareholder in 2020, gaining 49% control of the chain, Red Lobster employees were assured Thai Union would not interfere in key decisions.

Yeah, a lot of people was trying to blame the shrimp bullshit on why Red Lobster is going under. But now those same people went into hiding because the media is finally talking about what really happened with red lobster and it has all to do with greed.

I knew the place wasn't going to last long when they added security to the bathroom, because niggas was trying to fuck right then and there once they seen what the bitch was ordering. Niggas was trying to collect payment immediately.

"I'm telling you bitch, anything you order with the word unlimited attached to it, well you know what time it is". (As he glances towards the bathroom)

Capitalism is killing America. Little by little, now a lot by a lot.
Capitalism is why our environment is fucked up too. There is a lot of bad shit that’s going on with earth climate that I didn’t even post about yet. We are at a huge Fork in the road right now as humans on earth.

I'm shocked that most people still aren't aware of this. Capitalism used to foster innovation and risk taking. Now its just as often used to extract dormant value from under leveraged assets. Then, when a business is leveraged to the hilt it only takes a couple profit misses to facilitate disemboweling the whole thing to send its parts in every direction; the employees, retail investors, environment, resident communities be damned. The legal system encourages all this, i.e. limited liability structures, convoluted contracts, civil litigation attorneys, judges...

It's short sighted to just limit this to capitalism. It's greed and corruption.

Russia is communist. Yet Putin and his oligarchs hoard all the wealth to themselves. Look in the middle east. None of those countries are capitalist, but the few ruling families have almost all the wealth.

So this is much bigger than just capitalism. It's greed and corruption and using power to maintain wealth. If you read up on the French revolution, once the revolutionaries beheaded all the rich people and came into power themselves, they started using the guillotine on each other. So we have to find a way to combat greed and corruption no matter what economic system we choose because no political or economic system is immune to greed or corruption.

Now I'll go back to Red Lobster lol
