I remember when the roots came out.. I've never heard music like that and the hip hop side of their music was flying over folks head!! I walked in my favorite record shop and this one white clerk I would deal with.. Said, bro you gotta hear this group!! They play live instruments and they rap over their own flow!! I sat in that record store and fell in love with DO YOU WANT MORE!! They came to town after their second album and I was shocked their was a handful of brothas and sistas at the concert and 3tons of white folks and it blew me away.. But other than all those whites at the concert, those brotha jammed their ass off!! In 2015 they came back to town and it was full of whites and a handful of brothas and sistas!! Anyway the put on the best concert I've ever seen!! They jammed for 3 1/2hrs none stop.. I thought EWF put on kickass shows in the late 70s, but the ROOTS were unstoppable that night in 2015!! But, those Kats are a good azz group!! I don't like hearing the dirt on them but musically they are my favorite band!!£
