49ers kicker ends contract talk, demands trade that seems obvious
Richard Sherman can live with Nick Bosa’s social media history — as long as the new 49ers defensive end lives up to his No. 2 draft pick status, that is.

In the leadup to the NFL draft, Bosa scrubbed some of his controversial social media posts from the past. Among his tweets was calling Colin Kaepernick a “clown” after the former 49ers quarterback knelt during the national anthem to protest social injustice.

But Bosa’s new teammate said his play can trump his talk.

“One thing about football is that nobody really cares what you say if you can play,” Sherman told The Sacramento Bee. “At the end of the day, I think a guy that has played with African Americans his whole life, not saying he can’t be racist, but they know how to maneuver around African Americans.”

After he was drafted, Bosa got a congratulatory tweet from President Donald Trump, telling him to “always stay true to yourself.”

The pass rusher also reportedly deleted old tweets that called Beyonce’s music “complete trash” and “Black Panther” the “worst Marvel movie.”

“When you’re at Ohio State, it’s not like Ohio State’s an all-white school. So I don’t think that’s going to ever be an issue,” Sherman said,. “I think, at the end of the day, your beliefs are your beliefs … but when you’re in the building and you’re a football player and you’re a teammate, you handle yourself accordingly. And I think he understands that.”

This ain't the first time he done said some shit like this. This is why I don't believe none of these niggas because they open their mouth when its convenient. Bring a whole racist to his team and he shutting the fuck up. I expect it from 99% of NFL players but there's a handful I thought would stay true.

I agree with Sherman on this. You don't have to be friends or even like each other to be teammates or coworkers. I have had to work with motherfuckers that I know had thoughts and opinions that I hated, but that is not relevant to the job. You don't have to hang out, but you have to be able to work with people you don't like. As long as he does his job and treats people correctly, he can have whatever opinions he wants.

I guess.......its not consistent with the character he showed us but I guess when money involved he gotta be a company man. CAn't be be. I can't play on the field with a nigga who has showed he doesn't like the color of my skin. In football....you gotta be willing to go to war with someone which requires you to respect and care for them. Fuck a Boss.

I was gonna post this!

I found it shocking that Sherman was basically saying,
"if we are winning,
then it's ALL forgiven."

As black folks we need to stop being so forgiving.
Bosa been shitting on black folks 24/7
once he gets drafted,
he wants to change?
NAAAAH!

I tend to agree with this in a corporate setting, but in sports, there is more of a bond w/ your "co-workers". You go through so much physical stuff w/ other men, all the workouts and the rough play on the field, and it brings you closer. To high five with a cracka YOU KNOW thinks you are inferior and hates your guts would be hard for me to do. Ultimately, you don't have a choice with who you play with. They are just going to have to deal w/ it.

This is what is supposed to make his black teammates hate him? o_O

Nah, he called people racial slurs: niggas, etc and of course sides with Trump like a lot of racist do. I’ve also had to work with racist and ignorant white people but unlike him I let em know. Just so we clear, I can’t stand your ass and I’ll dust you if it came to it.

Yeah that article is real humble about the shit he was doing....made it like all he did was just dislike bLack Panther and Beyonce music.

This my stance as well. You basically saying you call call me the n word or hate my skin color but if you can play some football all is forgiving. That's what disturbs me the most. I know these niggas gotta suit up and play but for him to make that type of message is what's concerning. I know 10 years from now he's going to admit his hatred for him but it defeats the purpose.

Of course he did. He also realized that taking care of him and his is more important than looking cool and saying the shit people who would never support him if he didn’t have that job anymore wanna hear. Not that he doesn’t care about his community but priorities are different. Running his mouth to sound cool to y’all isn’t as important anymore. Good for him. And he’s right. Y’all all work with people ya don’t like. Or FOR them. Quit expecting people ya don’t know to do your lifting for you.

I don’t know what you want him to say? I do agree he liked to shot in Russell Wilson, and he says along as they win he’s ok with it. Can’t be the truth because he won with Russ and still shitted on him,

But people made Sherman to be something he’s not. He screamed at the white reporter and wrote a think piece and people considered him
To be “woke” or whatever but as soon as they threw that BLM tag on him he showed his true colors. And let’s not forget the pull yourself up by the boot straps Sherman

Well I was more so speaking about him liking posts with racial slurs in them and supporting the comments and also being a Trump supporter. But at the same time....y'all let Richie Icognito call y'all the n word so shit I Shouldn't be surprised.

Dude follows several racist websites. What more evidence do you need.

Ok cool, so that's when we call out racists - when he sucks and doesn't live upto expectations on the field. Got it. The Richard we've known goes out of his way to call out bs, racism, and hypocrisy. Now he wants to wait and see.

Yeah the article seemed to go out of it's way not to point out his real fuckery even though they did mention his opinion of Kaepernick...as for Sherman, he is not being as upfront as he used to be but he also seemed to be saying that dude needs to keep that shit to himself...he didn't give dude a total pass but it clearly is not the Sherman of old...fuck it, I work with a dude that was secretly recording what time I arrived at work and I still keep it professional, if not exactly friendly, with that motherfucker ...yeah sports is different but I dont think Sherman went full coon with this one either

Spoken like a true jackass fool that you are. Threatening to murder a coworker on the job...what kind of upbringing do you niggas have? White validation doesn’t mean shit to me. I couldn’t care less about a racist cac.

You niggas are an embarrassment. You threaten the racist cac because you’re too emotional to deal with a 150lb racist. You get fired, he keeps his job... you cry that the system is against you. Cmon son...

You taking it out of context. Only person overly emotional is you. Political correctness includes telling people what you mean without resorting to ignorance. That includes language. I’m master of my own fate, always, but since you brought it up of course the system is against you. I just beat it with my own personal success. Like now.

Since when? Richard Sherman ain't never lived by that philosophy. He had no problem doing it through the media with Russel Wilson.

I seem to recall it was about rallying support for kneeling in support of the protest.

Russell Wilson is a leader. A black quarterback. I would've used the media to bend his sellout, should out ass too!

However, Sherman would be wasting his energy and political clout points trying to change the mind of a racist. Experiences and time are the only forces that can do that.

I took it to mean that Sherman knows that the CAC could be racist, but he knows how to navigate around Black people.
That, and people brush over shit when you're winning.

Basically, regular white guy shit.

People want athletes and entertainers to fight every battle when 9 times outta 10 those same people arent even participating in the cause. Sitting in the comfort of your cozy studio apartment eating a tortinos pizza wanting the next man to risk it all while you risk nothing.

Was he in on that "Players Coalition" where Malcolm Jenkins and some other niggas take the money to stand? Can't remember if he was one of those niggas
Man....see I don't remember either because when all that shit was going on....seemed like Sherman was quiet as fuck.

Naw fuck that. If you been fighting every battle before now than yeah I expect for you to continue to fight the battle.

But look at what we saying........he can't just shut the fuck up? He basically said its ok to be racist as long as you can play good on Sunday's. Having him not say that is a battle? No one asking him to take a knee during the anthem or nothing. Just not make statements like that. That's a battle?

My comment wasnt directed at you specifically. It was directed at people who are always bitchin about "celebrities" fighting social and racial battles while they do the bare minimum or nothing at all. I don't know how active you are in your community, so I wouldn't make that assumption about you.
