Cool.
I'm wondering when Twitter became a reputable news source?
- im telling you, around the middle of 2008, there was this "twitter" media blitz it was all over CNN and sports programming: "follow us on twitter!" they basically FORCED people to hop on twitter...anyway
that dude still was gone from the show for almost an hour...that's not normal for any awards program i don't give a damn what anybody says
Did Robert Downey in that 1st video say "They can get it" in regards to all those women in the category?
And @ the ungrateful Steve Carrell.
@Thanking god for making him a atheist.
He went IN on those celebs. If I had known that shit I would've watched. I know he pissed those CAC's off out there. He'll probably never be able to host that shit again. Good luck to whoever has to host it after him.
He's killed Steve Carrell before
WORD The Fuck Up!
Why do they keep hiring comedians and then get mad when they crack jokes? Newflash: everyone does not bow down at the altar of Celebrity and some people even make a living poking fun at it. Get off your own dick and get a sense of humor. He's only telling jokes to your face that EVERYONE is saying behind your back.
Carrell no-selling it made it even funnier.
peace
WORD The Fuck Up!
So laugh with the joke or get laughed @
To Me, that's that man's true Genius on some straightman shit;
Listen, personally, I've tried, on multiple occasions to give him the benefit of the doubt, watching his version of the American syndication & on other productions in tv & the movies;
that man literally makes me laugh like 10-15% of the time, maybe less without being the straightman; I know what he's trying for but he's just not too funny;
If we're talking about Carrell, I think he's hysterical. I thought he was funny on The Daily Show and "The Office", even with one of the best ensembles ever, works because of Carrell's portrayal of Michael Scott.
peace
The ensemble makes it work for me as he's hit or miss with the character; like the Suprise HappyBDay
Its ehh; maybe if I wasnt aware of the Original & how Gervais does it, I'd give Carrell more of the benefit.
Im a fan of BobNewhart from back in the day, though.
peace
We could start a whole other thread about Bob Newhart.
For me, Carrell's Michael Scott is a perfect character: he's a grown man that thinks and acts like a child because his childhood was so fucked up. That's a character that people meet all the time in real life.
I've seen the original and I love it but I think Scott is a better character than Gervais' David Brent because you end up wanting to like Michael but David's just an asshole.
peace
See, I HAVE to do more research on BOTH the shows & reserve any judgement til afterwards, Fam;
Good Info so will keep the jury out & keep giving kat chances.

Damn, that's an Improv roast.. Steve Carrell looked like he wanted to murk dude
Did you watch the whole vid? That's why I love that dude role (Steve Carrell) on The Office...you know he's being funny but you can't tell it from his face...he does his shit so seriously and straight-faced it's hilarious...his planned deadpan reaction is what made the "roast" in that vid so funny
Not really very funny. Still an extrememly boring awards show as most are.
Ricky's Extras series on HBO was the best of all. If you haven't seen it, get it!
However, I think Ricky's Extras series on HBO was the best of all. If you haven't seen it, get it!
he's hit or miss with the character
i never found him funny but he was pretty good at the golden globes.Was just about to say this...coworker thinks he's the least funniest character...I think he's the most hilarious
