Im not at all judging the wrestlers, per se. But was it not fake, phony and staged? I mean 4real. Like I said, I can see the entertainment value for some, it just wasnt my cup of tea. My statement has nothing to do with dude's death. Im talking about wrestling as an entertainment sport in whole. I know those guys were professionals at their craft...but it still was staged. Where is the lie?

The outcome of the fights were planned but most of the other stuff dudes would just wing it a lot of times. Other than punches and kicks which the guys would hold back on to not actually injure their opponents most of the other stuff was real.
They actually did the moves. They are trained professionals. I cant deny that. But the bouts were largely choreographed and the outcomes were definitely scripted. In fact, they had storylines. Only thing that they may not have done was to actually give them a written script and have them learn the words.
Ok, so lemme ask you this...If u found out that basketball games were fake...as in the guys actually went out and played, they really made the baskets, really got the rebounds, really dunked the ball etc, but the outcome was pre determined...wouldnt you deem it overall phony/fake? I mean of course Curry actually hit that 3, Irving actually did cross dude and lay the ball in, Harden actually did do his signature step back jumper...but would you still see them in the same light? Now, wouldnt you question if the guy really got crossed by Irving? Or was it also scripted? Although Curry made the 3...did the defender know in advance and allow him the room to shoot it? Did the defender let Harden shoot or could he have really blocked it? Lol, IJS...once any of that is scripted or predetermined, all of it might as well be.
This is stupid. I know Marvel movies are fake does that mean they're not enjoyable?

I'm joking, but not really. I know I watched wrestling when I was very young, and then stopped until I was in college (only because a roommate I had was hardcore into it, so I at least had it in earshot) and looking back, I know it's because the years I was into it, it was on channels my B&W 13 channel TV I had in my room could pick up. And when I finally got a decent TV as a teenager I was into other things.
Yeah, it's corny, but the people into it fully understand it's just entertainment and even more so how much of a toll it is on their bodies. I still don't watch 20 years after college, but I gotta give them props because I'm sure they all know what's waiting for them down the road body wise. Probably the only other people who can relate are football players.
