If not carbon monoxide I wonder if this will be determined to have been a murder-suicide.
If the pills were scattered like that the dog may have ate them and died that way.
Also, they're saying she died in the bathroom next to a heater that was on so that could have sped up her decomposition.

I doubt it would have been that sloppy if it was an assisted suicide.
He was found away from her on the floor I believe in the kitchen area and she was found on the floor of the bathroom near their dead dog with pills scattered around.
If it were an assisted suicide he would have been in bed or somewhere comfortable with her near.
I saw an update that suggested carbon monoxide is still a possibility since they apparently weren't found for a while and the door was open which could explain why they couldn't detect it by the time they arrived.
